Would love GMS, think he would be quality for us and we'd improve him!

Aye i think he'd setup a lot of goals for us, good players in an average side can be great players in a brilliant side.

I was speaking to a couple Arabs who wouldn't be happy of eather joined us but admit m.stevens would be an entertainer who would be loved by us but even more so they all reckon russel can replace hooper as he is a finisher skillfull and has a bit of pace. After speaking to these honest unhappy arabs I'd say its a safe bet 3 mill buy for both giving hooper will be of for more than 8 by the looks of it.:celt_2:

Whenever I see GMS he flatters to deceive, the odd trick followed by a wayward pass or poor cross. I wouldn't be shelling out any sort of dough on the basis of what I've seen so far, which is an injury-prone flair player with little end product.

Seem to remember Russell doing it in big games more than GMS.

I know boys that could do this.

I want a solid footballer, not a trickster.

Mackay-Steven is an excellent player. He is quite similar to Samaras in that he runs at defenders with the ball and is quick and strong. He actually has an excellent end-product. He's not an amazing crosser or passer technically but he has very good vision and sees chances early. He is very tricky but I don't really see why that's a bad thing. He's not injury-prone either. He missed very few matches last season and has been out a lot of this season with a broken hand. Which is just bad luck. Russell is ok and a decent SPL goalscorer but nothing special IMO.

Most likely not against professional footballers though. And if one of our players did that you would be creaming yourself.

Lets see how he does this season, he looks like he has potential. There was a trick from last season that was absolutely class as well.

    Would prefer Russel though.

possibly an "easy" skill, but certainly no "easy" to pull of in a professional match situation, and shows the young lad's got balls at least to even be trying this....

o and then theres this one

Heard about that but had yet to see it. Outstanding play! Though the pass afterwards was poor. For those saying it's easy, to do that during a professional gsame of football would be so easy. If that Commons/McCourt who had done that people on here would be raving about it.

Aye that's some proper advanced level skill right their. When he's been out injured he's been working on his freestyle which is lovely to see. It takes a fair bit of practice to get that one down.

Absolutely love Mackay-Steven, he'd be a good guy to get in. If Lenny needs a left sided attacker he's the man. If we could get him for around the £1million mark, he'd bring something different to the team. We're all out attack in the league and maybe having Charlie Mulgrew behind him in midfield would let him go and play his natural game.

He's certainly roasting 2/3 players in 2 moves, great to see.

He picks up a few injuries due to spl players booting him all the time out of embarrassment. Great talent better than what we have on the left at. The moment.

glad somebody sees it from my point of view... how many players u see actually go out week in week out pulling of these crazy but "easy" skills in a professional football match...

in training ye loads... on match day not that many.

this lad makes United tick... without him there nowhere near the same team.. and im from Dundee and hear this from United supporters day in day out..

It's combination moves and it takes a certain kinda imagination to do it, and endless hours practicing, on your own. The speed with which he's doing it, takes exceptionally fast feet.

I'm saying the first one was easy, the second one is really hard to learn and see the opportunity to do it in a game. I know because when i was younger i put the time in to learn these techniques. You start doing things in games for fun and come up with things that even surprise yourself, other people are like, how the * did you do that?

He's the best Scottish winger in the league and it looks like he's gonna get better, keep learning and developing. If you think of the money that McGeady went for, this guy could be a similar player. I'd go and get him in.

I wasn't sure about how we'd fit him in the team, but you worry about that after he's signed. For me, he'd help to get everyone excited and make us even more dynamic going forward.

Lenny was on about getting a left sided winger and he's a guy that shows all the signs of being worth a lot of money in the future. It'd be a good investment i reckon and nobody likes playing against this guy, surround him with the caliber of player we have and we're onto some next level sh*t.

Right now everyone is on about Wanyama and Hooper going when the dream bid comes in, but what about Samaras? What if out of the blue a big bid came in for him? The way he's playing one might come in and we'd have a guy that could cover Sammy.

I don't really rate Lassad on the left, Watt and Lassad are better right through the middle, or out right. Sammy is amazing out their, and Commons is a completely different style of player. He's more of an attacking midfielder. So it's be good to have a guy that can really fly at teams and if they double up on him, it looks like he can cope with that.

Whether it happens now in the Summer, i'm sure he's on the radar.

Difference is that sammy seems like he really loves it here and has already turned down oppurtunities to leave and go play in italy where he would be making alot more money. Hooper and wanyama just seem to want to follow the money but sammy seems like he wants to finish his career here.

Aye, very true. That's why it would be hard to find a way to play Mackay-Steven. Sammy is amazing out on the wing and i couldn't really see Mackay-Steven keeping Sammy out the team. He's right up there for player of the year in my reckoning. It's also fantastic to see a guy so committed to the cause, even more so since he's vice captain or whatever.
