Peter Houston has said (on BBC just now) that as of this morning, there had been no bids for Russell and he'd prefer to keep it that way. Shame, i'd like to have seen him in a Celtic shirt.

Dundee Utd chairman Stephen Thompson issues statement telling any club offering less than two million pounds for Johnny Russell to forget it.

Well a clear statement for those interested; is he worth more than £2 million is another question.

More than? That statement clearly shows that 2 mill will be enough, at the very most. If you believe Lennon's claims that our signings are all but done, we won't be getting him unless we've already bid. And that statement shows we haven't bid.

Offer £1million, with £500k when we win the League and then £500k if we qualify for the Champions League next season, if not then £250k if we win the League next season.

So they will get atleast £1.75million over 2 years. I dont think they'd turn that down.

they turned down £1.5m from us last window.

    it'll take £2m.

No they never, we probably only offered them about £500k.

i think the first one was £500k then we made another move for him with cash and a player.

it'll still take £2m to land him though.

Thats Murphy away again back out on loan.

We must surely be getting a striker? It must be Johnny Russell

If Murphy's gone that pretty much means we'll definitely be signing a striker.
