we could bring both in. of load Brown, as of now he looks to be a liability, and with the price of injections going up each year, we cant afford to carry the lame any more. In today paper it says his the physical stats on him runing about covering 13kilometers, but getting no where near the ball. put a rod and dangle a carrot on a donkey and you will get the same result but with no end product.

simple really, he is playing the defeates card already, by saying Brown might not play, and should we get beat there is his reason for it.
you have to know LENNON to see through him.:celt_2:

I don't really think we should be signing SPL players anymore unless they are absolutely top quality. We should be aiming to sign players that are better than we have already got and can take the squad to new level. Plus I think nowadays we need a smaller squad and having backup players is a bit pointless. We should have about 2 first team players for each position and one or two versatile players as well (Mulgrew, Wanyam). I think the rest should be youth players.

I don't think Russell is nearly as good as Stokes or Hooper, and also we already have Bangura and Murphy and Sammy so it would bloat the squad a bit. If you look at Russell's stats at United; 26 goals in 63 starts and 20 sub appearances. Stokes has 40 goals in 62 starts and 22 sub appearances for Celtic. I think Russell's decent and if we didn't have Bangura maybe we could sign him but in all honesty if we were to sign a striker I'd rather he was better than Stokes and maybe Hooper as well.

I do think GMS is excellent and technically we only have 3 wingers with Forrest, McCourt and Commons. It depends how good Commons and McCourt are over this season but I do think we could do with a left winger and GMS on the left and Forrest on the right would be * awesome. Maybe he should have another 6 months or a season at Dundee United but I do think he would be an improvement over Commons, McCourt and Sammy. I think the 3 of them are all sort of speciality wingers rather than all-rounders. GMS isn't better than any of them at their speciality but he is an excellent combination of the three and I think he could go on to be a top player (hopefully for us).

stats are all well and fine, but when you look at goals scored, who where they against where they against the better sides.

Well that's pretty hard to find out but there's no way Russell could have scored those two goals against Kilmarnock. I doubt he could have got two against Rennes either.

I'm plan on making a list of every user who claims we shouldn't sign players from the SPL. No doubt it will be the same characters greeting about the board failing to sign them when they inevitably move to England and excel like Fletcher and McCarthy.

McCarthy's a good player but he wouldn't get in our team. I agree though, just because someone plays in the SPL doesn't mean we shouldn't or should sign them.

He's better than Kayal and Wanyama? No thought not, and there's no way Lenny's dropping Brown or Ledley.

Ideal bit of business for them, if they do sell Rhodes.

Hope we don't allow either to move south, though.

Mackay Steven, is a better wide player than commons offers more, commons is better in the middle, Mackay Steven would off us more on the left forrest is pish on the left and to even say about McGeouch is just madness Macky Steven has played a lot more first team games than him so how can you say he is on a higher level?

McCarthy is decent and nothing more. Ki is a better version of him. Maloney was the reason Wigan had that run, it coincided exactly with him coming into the team.

McCarthy is better than decent, he's destined to go on to bigger things in the premiership.

These days, I think we could get both Russell and GMS for £2m collectively.
