Textbook striker's performance tonight. Done everything - ran channels, dropped deep, linked up well with the wingers/midfielders and scored 1 (2 with the offside one) very good goals as well as getting an intelligent assist.

10/10 for Hooperman. Definitely hit a purple patch just now :50:

Brilliant tonight, showed that he belonged at that level and is miles better than Grace Jones at Man United and Sturridge.

    England's loss is our gain.

Just shows how influential the champions league is. If you put in good performances in this competition there is no doubt you will be looked at.

5-0 Against Hearts and the other 3-0 against Oldco spring to mind as well...

He's had a lot of 'best games' for us.

Hooper is a * immense footballer and I'll say it again is much much more than just a penalty box striker. The amount of work he does is outstanding. Drops deep, starts moves, and most importantly.....scores goals.

And this season I think he has really grown into the lone striker role. Suppose it helps when you've got 3 up front basically.

Outstanding performance from an outstanding player.

I think if a player like Hooper would want to stay for his whole career the board would accept it with open arms... having a player like him for their whole career is a lot more valuable than the 7 or so million we'd get for him.

I reckon if he does play for England he wont be at the club for much longer.

The new contract needs to be sorted now.
