He's showed that he's got a lot more to his game than just scoring lately, his goal to game ratio is quality and he's on form at the moment, there's absolutely no room for criticism here to be honest.

Not only is he the best striker in the box since Larsson and Sutton days... He is also the best striker outside the box we've had since then.

His touch, link up play, skill, power, pace and his crossing/passing ability is outstanding.

You know a great striker when he goes out wide and puts the ball exactly where he would have wanted it. You watch the Drogs, Torres's and Rooney's and you'll see they are great crossers of the ball, just like Hooper!.

Thats more a quick shot rather than having alot of time to think running up towards the keeper, which i dont think hes good at in those situations

Should we care how he scores his goals?
Main thing is they hit the back of the net :50:

this thread is pish. if others (sammy) missed some of the sitters he's missed, we would get on them more. exactly. because others (sammy) don't score as many goals as Hooper does in spite of missing sitters. He's had a couple bad games in a row. you remember what it was like when he was out of the lineup. loss, draw, draw back to back? for * sake. some people try to find the * end of even the best scenarios

All strikers miss chances, even sitters. He's young and still has a ways to go to be a fully developed player, but he has certain attributes that can't be taught:

    1) Goal radar: Watch him shoot. He doesn't ever have to look goalward, even on the turn. He knows where the goal is at all times.

    2) First touch: Arguably his finest attribute. His first touch is tremendous.

    3) Drive: He's relentless.

    4) Finishing tough: Though not perfect, his touch on the finish is phenomenal for such a young player.

He's such a great raw talent, and he'll only get better with time and coaching. I love this player.

He's hardly had any. He would have scored against Hearts if the keeper hadn't taken him down.

threads a joke, to even question hoopers ability is madness, just because he doesn't score in a couple of games , doesnt mean he's not doing his bit for the team, have you considered his work rate, its second to none in our team, he chases/closes down everything he can, makes runs and sets up nemerous goals, pointless thread IMO

He does miss quite a lot of good opportunities to score - but his head doesn't go down & he continues to put himself in good positions by working hard for the team.

He looks like one of those "scores hard goals, misses easy ones" strikers.

He also looks good for a goal each time he plays.

He's just new to the league & is young, making a step up in level & in another Country - he's good now, but he'll get better.
