    40 odd goals in 80 appearances for a team that got relegated is pretty decent,only 22 aswell.Worth a punt I think.

    just spotted this again.. was pretty suprised to be honest because supposedly Blackpool and others are after him aswell, whats exciting me more though is the bit in that link posted that says if Lennon wants him in then it'll have to be before midnight tomorrow :icon_mrgreen: no long to wait to see if it will happen then, in fact that will go for any transfers will it not? or is it just the qualifiers they'd miss if they didnt sign in time?

    why do people keep going on about Stokes turning us down before, it was very simple

    agent- Anthony do you want to go to Celtic and earn around 8k a week or Sunderland and earn around 20k a week?

    stokes - hmmmmm, that's a no brainer

    I think Hooper would be a massive success up here. If he can score the amount of goals he did last season in a team that struggled and where chances must have been at a premium then imagine what he could so given the chances he wil get.

    Same - he's got age on his side and despite the youth a cracking goal-scoring record in a decent league since 2008.

    But like the Ras/Keane situation last year I can see us coming up with a 'big name' before the end of the transfer window. I mean strictly speaking we didn't "need" Keane because we had 6+ strikers on our books.

    I get the impression our manager/board are happy with signing whatever *quality* player they can and THEN letting the squad deal with it.

    Yeah, he's a young guy who scores goals for fun so don't see why he couldn't do it here.
