He never said that how the player dresses reflects how they play, he's just pointing out how you should make the effort to dress up and show some respect.

    Scunny fan here.

You've got yourself a great signing. I think both parties our happy. We got the right fee we wanted (around £2.4mil I think) as he was always going to leave. We are just glad its not to another championship club.

As long as hes got a good partner up top with him he will do well. We know good strikers with Sharpy, Keogh and Paterson but this guy for me is the best. Only 22, hes got great potential and a proven goalscorer in the championship with one of the weakest teams in the division.

He's great at holding the ball up, great first touch and great at linking up the play aswell. I would say his weakest point is 1on1's he missed a fair few last season but at a young age he can only get better at them with experience.

I hope he scores a hat full for you guys.. Im sure he will given the chance.

All the best for you and Hooper this season.

Technically gifted. He certainly has the ability. Last season he had a great striker partner in Paul Hayes. He would pick a ball out for him for fun.. If you have someone who can play the ball through to him he will more than likely get you a goal.

You wont see him taking players on much. But great pace and can win you a lot of freekicks, not from diving.. but hes really clever at holding the ball up and getting his body in the way.

As I say though at 22 and at a top club with top players. He can only improve.

    Scunbelievable | The Sun |Home Scotland|Scottish Sport|SPL

GARY HOOPER checked in at Parkhead yesterday and vowed he'll get the goals that will make him a Celtic idol.

The striker - who'* the net 50 times in two seasons - arrived with his father to complete a dream £2.4million move from Scunthorpe United and undergo a medical.
Hooper, who had also interested Gordon Strachan's Middlesbrough and Leeds United, is due to be part of Neil Lennon's squad that jets out to Portugal this morning.
SunSport broke the news of the deal for Hooper, 22, on Saturday.
And just moments after arriving at his new 'home' he told us: "I'm very happy to be here and I'm ready to sign.
"I'm very excited about playing for the club.
"I'm confident I can score goals for Celtic and I'm just desperate to start playing.
"Celtic were definitely my first choice as soon as I heard they were interested.
"They were the only club for me - and as soon as I got the chance I came straight up here."
Hooper isn't expected to start against Braga in the Champions League qualifier tomorrow night but the direct and pacy goalscorer should be on the bench.
Ex-Southend kid Hooper has never hidden his ambition to make it big in the game.
It didn't happen for him at Roots Hall but he was prolific in loan spells at Leyton Orient and Hereford United.
Scunthorpe shelled out £125,000 for him in July 2008 and have been handsomely repaid.
Lennon made him one of his top targets when he was confirmed as boss last month.
In an interview last year Hooper - on Spurs' books as a schoolboy - revealed his hopes, including international recognition.
Asked where he'd like to be in five years, he said: "My aim is to be playing in the Premier League and banging on the door of the senior England team."
Hooper was a Tottenham fan as a kid only to see his dreams of making the grade at White Hart Lane crash when he was freed.

He said: "I played for them between the age of seven and 14 and used to love going to watch David Ginola. I was gutted when I was released but everything has worked out.
"Maybe if I keep banging in the goals I will get to play for them again.
"I'd say my strengths are finishing and I'm also pretty speedy.
"I don't score too many with my head so that side of my game needs more work."
Hooper has never been one for talking himself up off the park as Iron gaffer Nigel Adkins quickly spotted after signing him.
Adkins knew he had a star on his hands, but said: "I think the challenge for Gary is to learn how to do some TV interviews because he's going to get plenty in the future. He can be very shy."
Hooper's team-mate at Glanford Park, Sam Togwell added: "He's a quiet lad who prefers to let his feet do the talking."
England No1 David James had also been scheduled to arrive at Parkhead yesterday for talks about a free transfer.
But the 39-year-old veteran - who got married on Sunday - called Celtic in the morning to say he couldn't head north for family reasons.
James, though, could well meet Lennon over the weekend in London when Celtic are in action against Arsenal and Lyon in the Emirates Cup.

I really really dont mind players that say that :icon_mrgreen: shows a bit of ambition in players which is good because he'll know he has to do brilliant for us for Premier league teams to want him and for england call ups. If i signed for say West ham or somebody I want publically say that " my aim is to play for Celtic and get called up to the Scotland squad" so there is nothing wrong with that. I'm saying this because people will be annoyed that he said it, but I for one dont mind it.

Yep agree, hes ambitious, english and clearly a spurs fan. But I have no doubt that a good couple of years with our support, doing well here and in europe he might find it hard to leave :) Cant wait to see him in the hoops !!!!

Ok yes he's a spurs fan, but in your first interview as a celtic fan, saying that you cant wait to play in the EPL is very dodgy
