80 apps 43 goals, thats good, playing for us he's get more chances to score and will be playing against similar level of opponents , and hes got pace which weve needed in a striker for donkeys.

ill decide once he deals with a few balls into the box..untill then no point of making any rash statements,,but he has to take step it up for sure.

Gary Hooper is a good player.

If he can bang them in for a * side like Scunthorpe, see what he can do for us

    Quote from a Scunthorpe supporter.

" No offense meant by this comment, whilst it is a lot to pay, he was the championships 3rd top scorer in one of the poorest sides. The guy will get goals, lots of them at a standard that is within his capabilities. The scottish premier is only championship standard at best (excluding celtic and rangers). I would happily bet a weeks wage hoops will score goals at celtic. He will score bags of them in my opinion. Hes proved it 2 consecutive seasons here, in 2 different divisions, and been near the top of the scorers charts in both season.
2.4million is a lot to pay, but if you want a goal scorer, you certainly have with hoops.
If these reports are true i wish hoops all the best and may he have every sucess up north. A great lad, great squad member, great plaer. As always he will be missed. Lets hope granty or daggers can fill the void. S.U.F.C "

took this off another celtic forum there!

What the * you talking about i said i was talking about the sun being * , and if you looked on the net you would have found sites saying he would play today ,

Early on this morning he was going to be taking part in the game , so to me that meant wasnt a done deal as no club would stick a player in a game before selling him cant risk him getting injured ,

Quote from Scunthorpe forum from todays friendly....

"Hooper in the tunnel at the end of the game, all his gear with him shaking every players hand and all wishing him good luck!! The club will not confirm this until Monday morning but it is 1000% certain. Hooper has just left Glanford park for the very last time!!"
