The arrogance of their fans is staggering. Celtic would be nothing more than a borderline top six Championship team in my opinion

Stokes has arguably been better yes but I think Hooper would be more appealing to EPL/Championship teams as Stokest has already had a bad spell down in England.
IMO, with the prices getting paid just now in England, Hooper is worth £7 million +
    Stokes - £4 million +

Apologies for the previous comment but I just find some of your comments bewildering:56::50:

May just be modern day football but I find some prices flung about for players these days bewildering none more so than 10 million for jellyfish

We can all thank the English Premier League for that. When you have teams paying £35 million for Andy Carroll then you know it's mental.
IMO Hooper can still improve many aspects of his game but due to some of the crazy prices getting paid in England, then he fully justifies £7 million.

A think he's some player also but until he improves his weaknesses then I personally wouldnt rate him at seven mil but a would also rather keep him than sell him for 5ish million as he's a big part of us

I just think that we could get a good fee for him.

When you look at Liverpool and Man Utd. They must have spent about £80 million between Carrol, Henderson, Smalling and Jones, 4 promising English players.
Hooper is a promising English player, his goal scoring record is fantastic.
In saying that, I hope he stays here for the rest of career but if he was to leave, then a team has to splash the cash:50:

Southampton fans must think they are a big club:56: southampton for * sake, even portsmouth are bigger than them. Small time club, will never win anything.

    ANOTHER NOTE TO SOUTHAMPTON FANS:

Currently we have under 700k debt and lots of players we can sell to get transfer funds available. We don't need to sell anybody and we don't need to buy anyone so there is no pressure for us really!!!!, And really we aren't going to sell our top striker because we don't to. and saying that us rating him at £7 million is ridiculous, is frankly, stupid. We get CL money and we need hooper to get us to win the SPL so we can play in the CL. so really he is worth what Champions league money is worth.

BTW, when was the last time your club played european football?, I'm sure Hooper would love to go to a smaller team than ours and not win any medals/trophies or play any european football. NOT. Jog on now :icon_mrgreen::shamrock:

Amazing how some people can think we expect too much money for our players, in a market such as today's we should be getting at LEAST double 4.5 million for a goal scorer, the most valuable trait in football

Its obvious as a young English talent if Hooper was playing for Wolves or someone like that the figures getting branded about for him would be 10 million plus, Connor whickman went for 12 million all be it hes 18 but he cant finish at all - also players like Henderson, Carroll, Smaling.

Southampton would be a huge step down in his career also, i laughed when i saw their name.

Another thing "rickie lambart would score 40 goals a season in scottish football". Aye, jog on ya dizzy *, even jelavic and naismith are far superior strikers to this guy. Southampton pfft, who do they think they are?

right now hooper is invaluable to us as we need him to win the SPL. He's far too good to be dropping back to the Championship.

Hooper is worth about £6m max. Or that's all we'd get for him. He's priceless to us anyway I'd rather just now sell him, same with Wanyama, Kayal, etc

Gary Hooper will not leave Celtic. Why would we accept any bids in Jan for our top scorer?
Plus he's got the chance of a treble up here the now. If he left end of the season, fair enough. We'll stil get a good price for him.
Think we might even see Hooper getting offered a new deal to put to bed any rumours.
