no wonder. i think some comments on here have been very disrespectful to Southampton and their fans. i applaud them for their ambition in trying to land Hooper but he isn't for sale and they should move onto other targets. i wish them good luck for their promotion bid.

 

Haha, they are * delusional, the championship in my opinion is worse than the SPL. Standard of teams is not that great, name me players playing for southampton that would get into the celtic team.

 

Wonder how many Internationalists there are in the Southampton squad?Not many,if any.
Now count how many in our squad,15+ i'd say.Theres the difference.
No disrespect to Southhamton but Hooper will be going no where.

 

Don't know abut that, outside us and they manky * across the city the SPL is rotten. But we are a country of 5-6 million so for our size it's not that bad. At least we're honest though, we know it's pish.

Outside the top few sides no country has that many decent teams.

 

i do like how they admit they don't know who Hooper is yet slag our league off. then they start slagging Stokes about how he failed at Sunderland but sets our world alight up here - they forget he scores in the Europa League as well.

laughing at our general valuation of Hooper at around the £7m mark. he isn't for sale. if they want him, they'd need to be talking around that fee.

both this forum and theirs have shown massive lack of respect for each club.

there isn't too much difference between the SPL and Championship imo. we play in Europe though and are a massive club. if Hooper leaves, it'll be to an EPL team, not one in the Championship. until Southampton reach that level and are willing to fork out serious money for him, it's a non starter for them.

 

Yeh i do agree most leagues have a certain limited amount of good teams in it. Yet i have seen the championship many times this season, ranging from southampton to west ham, to middlesborough to the lower reaches of peterborough and coventry. It is not that good, it is certainly not miles better than the spl, which is what some english fans would have you believe.

 

A don't watch it tbh. But if the SPL is so bad then why do they constantly sign players from it ? That's what I don't understand.

 

The fans don't know anything about the spl, they are ignorant, yet the managers and scouts know that the spl is alright, there are good players to be found in the SPL, players from scotland have done well and poorly in the championship, players from the championship have done well and poorly up here in Scotland as well.

Nothing much to choose between them to be perfectly honest.

The title is worth a * of alot more than 7 mil,so is Hooper worth that?Absolutely,we need him for the title and then CL.

if they don't like it, don't bid. we don't need or want to sell. if they're goning to offer less than £7m, they may as well not bother.

one of my love for Celtic is that us, the fans, are very tolerable and get along with other sets of fans. i don't like being disrespectful to Southampton. i agree Hooper will leave to a bigger club than Southampton but there's no need to attack the club.

 

They seem to think Rickie Lambert would bang 40 goals a season up here * ... NOTE to Southanpton fans the quality of Championship football has been pish this season, 25 games played and the top team has only won 14 games and out of a possible 75 points has only gained 47... Theres a long way to go and watching Southampton recently theres no way you deserve a place in the premier league ... and no way you could afford Hooper so Goodluck!

 

Not sure but I would value him about 4million tbh we have to remember we are in spl he is a good player dnt get me wrong but no 7 millions worth IMO . Saying that but Andy Carroll isnt 7 millions worth and he went for thirty five million lol
