Really hope to * this doesn't happen. As much as a love Hooper, if it's a straight choice between a successful EPL player in Fletcher, and an absolute EPL failure in Hooper.

    I'll take Fletcher please.

The only year Hooper has played in the EPL, he finished top scorer for his club.

Fletcher has had massive injuries in his career.

Always gonna be a gamble with him, but on form Fletcher? Oh la la!

Agreed, Fletcher and Thumb combined would be fun in SPL, Hooper and Thumb combined would be like keystone cops.

Aye that's true, Fletchers injury problem is a gamble. But worth it for me. He's much better than Hooper and will take us up a level.

Hooper is the same level as Griffiths(although not a better finisher) and won't take us up a level.

So even if don't get Fletcher a still don't want Hooper back. Hopefully we have someone else better in mind.

Griffiths isn't a better finisher than Hooper, and is a poorer footballer in general.

Hooper has more to his game than griffiths.
Always dropped deep to make moves happen and was much more than just a poacher like some claim

Hard to get injured sitting on the bench.

He's a much much better finisher than Hooper fs:smiley-laughing002: Hooper isn't great at shooting. Griffiths has a great shot on him in or outside the box.

Hooper is a better goal poacher

Has more to his game? Does he have pace? Does he bring energy? Can he head the ball? Can he shoot like Griffiths? No to all four.

If he has more to his game than Griffiths. it ain't by much.

I would love to see their conversion rate. I would be willing to bet that Hooper was a more clinical striker. A better finisher will be the one who converts more of their chances. That is Hooper. Never understand when people talk about Hooper, and simply just being a poacher, he had far more to his game than that. Which is why he could successfully lead the line for us in Europe.

    Too far now, stop it.

I think you got a Hooper tattoo done the day before he left,
That's what's at the bottom of your dislike for him.

Again, don't get the anti-griff stuff. The lads practically scoring in every game, working his socks off, he's quick, links up well, runs at defenders, scores with his head, grabs poacher goals and can shot with power from outside the box. Add all that to the fact that he's what 23/24? The lad's immense!!

Hoops was the best since the King, but given a full season i at no.1 striker and griffiths is showing he could usurp hooper.

Hooper and griffiths both have things to their game that other doesn't. It's pointless trying to compare them directly.

Hooper doesn't bring much else more than what we have collectively from griff and ciftci though, fletcher does have something a bit different
