I play fives with someone who works part time as a scout for Southampton and he said that they have no intention of getting hoops although he has admired as a scout since his Southend days.

Surely he wouldn't swap one relegation battle, for another. QPR will be straight back down the season after and Villa could be dragged into it.

He should come back here. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes to one of these low tabled clubs again but could get stuck in the Championship if he isn't careful.

Think he'll hold out for a mid tabled club but it's a dangerous game.

Shame he should realise what he had here.

I'd love to have him back here. He needs to ask himself this though.. Do I want to constantly fight relegation in the EPL and hope Hodgson eventually gives me an opportunity, or return to where I'll be adored and play in Europe every season? No point talking about transfers until we have a manager though.

Would take him back in a second proven scorer he wanted to fulfil his dream of playing in the premiership it didn't quite work out for him but still I would welcome him back here at least we know were guaranteed goals.

He's a better chance of fulfilling his international dreams banging them in up here and scoring in the champions league than he ever will feeding off scraps with the dregs of the premiership.

He'll not be back though, too many clubs willing to throw 30k a week+ at him.

What sort of an idiot is Hooper, does he actually not realise he and the rest of the players are the reason that Norwich were demoted . He never was an EPL footballer and never will be good enough . The only reason he scored regularly for Celtic was that at Celtic the players created many chances for him and he converted a reasonable amount of them . In the EPL he won't play in an attack minded team as he did with us . I don't see any benefit to Celtic taking him back.

Would happily take him back, but doubt he'd want to if there was interest from PL clubs.

think aston villa would be a good move for him personally

he'll not come back here to expensive wages wise for us anyway
