    Mirror linking Griffiths with Norwich in a swap for Hooper

    "Norwich are trying to set up an ambitious swap deal for Leigh Griffiths - with Gary Hooper going back to Celtic.

    Canaries boss Alex Neil is desperate to try and strengthen his strike force but has been blocked in his move for Wolves striker Benik Afobe and Roma striker Mattia Destro who is set to join Bologna.

    Celtic striker Griffiths has scored 22 goals in 30 games since the turn of the year and the Scottish champions will not want to let him go.

    Norwich are also in for Hull striker Nikica Jelavic but they are willing to get rid of former Celtic striker Hooper whose move to Carrow Road has not worked.

    Hooper has been linked with a loan move to Celtic and it could work for both parties if Norwich can get Griffiths.

    Norwich are also keen on Jelavic but Hull would want big money for the 29-year-old Croatian international."

    A massive stumbling block to this deal from the boards point of view has to be that he has been in England and failed meaning he has almost no sell on value.
    Having said that i reckon he would finish his career at celtic if he comes back and would welcome him back in a heartbeat!!

    If we sign him, I doubt it be on perm deal. So mostly likely it will be a loan. Would not say no to that either. As blink1eto'o mentioned don't think he has resale value now, but we know what we are getting and he knows the club.

    We're not playing well and we want to add a striker that can't get a game for Norwich? That just doesn't make sense.
    I know a lot of fans loved him but he made his choice so we should let him stew and move on. We need better than a Norwich benchwarmer.

    Would be nice to have him for the EL campaign, doubt that would be much of an incentive for him though to be quite honest.
