Sessegnon from west brom all the way for me. Let Hooper rot on the bench at Norwich where he was so desperate to go to further his career :smiley-laughing002:

Rather have Soriano, would bring more to the team (In last 6 seasons, 186 goals in 227 app)

He'd also cost about £7 million and will have plenty of clubs after him.

wouldn't be against him coming back but he wanted bigger and better things. I'd rather have players that I'm convinced are happy to be here.

What has Sessegnon got to do with Gary Hooper?

2 entirely different players in entirely different positions with entirely different attributes. :smiley-laughing002:

He's not even an out and out striker anyway, is he?

Good player but, well out of our range and we need a lone striker with quality..

Bring him back. Commons, Griffiths and Hooper linking up would be orgasmic

    Welcome mate:50:

Let me help you understand the part I've bolded.

Some people don't want him back because he isn't much of an improvement than Griffiths if any. Both are very good goalscorers then each have some good different attributes each.

Hoopers style would suit our play better but he's lazy. While Griffiths has energy to burn and works harder. He'll run himself into the ground for the team but can't play the lone role as good.

Hooper wasn't good in the lone role to begin with then became good at it. Isn't it possible Griffiths could do the same? He may not become as good as Hooper at it but if he can improve certain aspects of the role like his hold up play while still being a total pest to defenders with his pace and energy then he'll only become a much better player.

He's 3 years younger than Hooper at 24 so still improving. Hooper on the other hand hasn't been as good as he was when he was here before. That's what his latest performers for Norwich have showed me. Doesn't mean he's a poor player now far from it but he's been playing poor. A guess that's why he's warming Norwhich's bench.

Whether Griffiths can deliver in the CL that is unknown. But it was also unknown at one point with Hooper and I had faith in him he'd deliver as I do with Thumb. Only difference is Hooper had a better team with Wanyama , Brown, Ledley, Commons and Samaras behind him.

Is that even an option he'd cost a bit. But I'd love it to happen.

Thats the quoted fee yes, but i am sure we could negotiate lower and he is the quality we up front in the champions league i.e a prover European goal scorer 20 goals in 26 app in Europe. From want I heard he wants to leave as he wants a shot at the champions league group stages

    Who? Soriano?

He is. Great poacher and takes a * of a free kick as we found out twice. One disallowed mind.

Would love us to push the boat out for him but it would never happen. I could see him getting restless now mind with Salzburg not qualifying for the CL again.

Nah, there on about the wee guy Sessengon. Soriano is a no brainer, no chance we'd get either..

    Ah right.

Nah Sessegnon is an attacking mid. That's why I wasn't sure why he brung him up:smiley-laughing002:

    I'd take him here though.

Robert Beric would be a better option than Hooper. 24 and scored 27 goals in 36 app for Rapid Wien. Also fits Alex rae description as he played againist us last season in a friendly

No *. He's well out of our reach.

Funny enough, we were linked with him before he went to Salburg. Bummer.

I would rather have Messi, if we're going down that route.

Beric has had one good season but there is no guarantee he'd replicate that here.

The thing with Hooper is you know what you'd be getting. Goals.

When did Rae say that this mystery player had played against us?

On Clyde 1, his description was that he has scored a barrel load in his league and has played againist us in the last 2 years. Beric reminds me of a certain oldco player
