I would take him back in a second, but he didn't want to be here. So it's not going to happen

Was going to post him in the player suggestions a few weeks ago along with Snodgrass and Marshall as a replacement for Forster.

Agree with the 7m as the fee for a double bid for hoops and Snody especially since hes in the final year of his contract and maybe even try get Mcgregor on loan with them for the season, a year in the championship would be great experience for him.

It's not going to happen lhads, this whole story has been published on the back of a Celtic Fc Youtube vid of a question and answer session on twitter with Commons and he was posed the question.

No * Sherlock, the quotes are there. It's not like they said we are linked, they said Commons wanted him back.

Don't see any reason why he wouldn't be able to pick up where he left off and bang in 20+ goals for us a season if he came back. Only thing being it would probably spell the end for Pukki, Balde and perhaps either Stokes or Griffiths, more likely to be the latter of the two.

When he was leaving he was linked strongly with Hull before going to Norwich. Turned out a move to Hull would've been better for him. He'll go to Leicester or Burnley if he is lucky, otherwise it will be back to the Championship for him for one season at least. Wouldn't be a good move for him or Celtic to come back.

It seems to be the tactics used by all EPL teams in the bottom half of the league to go with only one up front . I can't understand why because I think with two up front there isn't as much emphasis on numbers of mid field getting up to support and hence two up front can help defensive stability . One up front didn't work for Norwich as the manager seem to never know who to play .
Normally I wouldn't support a return. , but as we seem to get it very hard to have good striking options and Hooper proved himself , not one year but three, I would go for him .

We don't have anyone who can really find the back of the net in Europe at the moment so I would welcome him back.

I was gutted when he left. Couldn't have really rated him any higher and thought he done so much that went unnoticed.
Would take him back no problem at all....as long as he showed the highest level of professionalism and gave his all.

Hooper was really good, but he got 2 goals in the champions league group, both against Spartak Moscow. I think we've got strikers who could score against Spartak.

Hooper didn't get any goals against Barca, Juve or Benfica. It's a similar story this season, the goals and assists have come against teams at the bottom of the league, he goes missing in games.

I think in all honestly Griffiths is capable of beating Hooper's goalscoring record from last season. 31 goals and 2 goals in the Champions' League.

If you add the amount of goals Stokes and Commons are now getting, there's plenty of goals in the team. If you want a striker who's gonna do it in Europe, you want one who'll score against the top teams and i just don't think he can do that on his own up front.

So we'd be shelling out our money to overload the striking departments. You could forget about getting a classy midfielder. May, Gauld, Armstrong, players from abroad. Most of the money would go on Hooper and it's about the daftest thing to do right now when we've got good players we need to develop.
