Not worried in the slightest. Lennon will surely get the full transfer fee to buy another striker in, I'm confident he'll get a better player than Hooper for £5 million.

Gary Hooper: QPR boss Harry Redknapp sure of striker's talent

Manager Harry Redknapp thinks Gary Hooper can score the goals to ensure a quick return to the Premier League for Queens Park Rangers.
Celtic have accepted a bid in the region of £5m from the Championship club for the 25-year-old.

"It looks like it's on its way to being done," Redknapp told BBC Radio Scotland. "Negotiations have gone well.
"He's a finisher. He'll score goals in the Championship; I'm absolutely certain of that."

Hooper, who was used as a substitute in Tuesday's Champions League qualifying win against Cliftonville, scored 31 goals for the Scottish champions last season.
Having moved to Glasgow from Scunthorpe in a £2.4m deal, the striker has been Celtic's top scorer in each of the last three seasons and has one year remaining on his contract.

"He's gone to Celtic; one of the biggest clubs in the world and he's scored goals," added Redknapp. "He's scored goals in the Champions League."
"He's in the last year of his contract, so it's a good deal for everybody. It's good for Celtic to get the kind of money they are getting and hopefully it will be a great deal for QPR."

"If he can come here and get 25 goals next season, then we will have a real chance of getting out of the division.
"I think Gary is capable of reaching that sort of target.
"We're going to need two strikers and I think they are going to have to weigh in with 50 goals."

Hull and Norwich have both had bids for Hooper rejected this year and the centre forward turned down the chance to extend his stay at Celtic Park.

"I get the feeling that he really wanted to come back down south to the London area," Redknapp said about the striker, who grew up in Harlow, Essex.
"He seems very much a family man - that was a factor."

Hooper helped Celtic win two Scottish Premier League titles, two Scottish Cups and, in 2012-13, reach the last 16 of the Champions League.

i'm afraid he does have a better chance. David Nugent and Jay Bothroyd spring to mind

How is he being patronising? It is good for us to get that kind of money and it is a good deal for everyone. He also referred to us as one of the biggest clubs in the world.

"It's good for Celtic to get the kind of money they are getting" - basically saying that QPR's pocket change is crazy money to us.

One top class striker, the others a complete failure. He'll be difficult to replace if he does go, only hope we've offered him the wages he deserves.

Hardly say Lassad is a failure, not enough game time imo

It is, 5+ million is ahold sum of money for us, certainly it's more than we would think of spending on a player these days. It's nothing to QPR though.

It really doesn't and shouldn't matter, these guys earn more in 1 year on £20,000 per week than most people will in a life time.

Lets be honest, you play for a team you didn't support as a kid ,another team who you don't support offers you £10k more a week what you gonna do ? Be honest.
In this case I think, as has been posted, he wants to move "nearer home" as well ,so unless We offered the £10k per week more than the rest he would be away anyway. It would be different if you supported the club you are playing for and you are offered an extra £10k elsewhere then the answer may be "No" then but not here I am afraid too say.
Wish Hoops all the best and thanks for the goals :50:

Very disappointing. We`ll never know what was happening with the contract talks but I get the feeling he would have stayed had he been given the contract he wanted. * QPR and the championship, Jesus Christ man. Ah well, good luck to you Gary bhoy. Cheers for the previous 3 years - you were top class

We need to bring in a replacement who score plenty of goals like Hooper but also his all round play which is absolutely top class. When Hooper clicked up front with Stokesy, our football was sexy
