Bbc sport is suggesting that Southampton have made a bid for forster of about 7.5million.

Would be sad to see him go, but this is maybe what we need to kick start our spending on outfield players

Are u being serious ? Did you not learn anything from last summer when our spine of the team departed and replaced with mediocre to be kind . Southampton have just raked in 90+m for 3 of there own players , so 7.5m regardless of our league is an insult for an "England Goalkeeper", bet your bottom dollar if the tables were reversed he would be 20m easy !

Not really sure what your getting at, I don't want him to leave but over the years Iv come to realise this is the way Celtic do business. Iv just accepted it as a reality.

We should be holding out for £10m. Is Boruc off or something?

Selling one of our best players and pinning our hopes on an injury prone guy who hasn't played much in two years.

Colour me * terrified if that happens.

Rumoured we will hold out for 9mil,I'd sell at that price.

Don't see why we can't hold onto him until the end of August though,he could be the difference in us making the champions league groups or not.

It's encouraging that Gordon looks decent if this was to happen.

£10M is the least I'd accept, these * have just coined about £80M odd.

I'd still want £8m and Boruc.

If not that, nothing less than £10m.

No way. Not for 7.5m. Double that. We won't play hardball tho.

The fact they're flush with cash is all the more reason to up the price.

Dunno why folk eager to sell. It's not like we'll reinvest.

Rather not lose Forster - why throw Gordon in at the deep end?

And 7.5 million is peanuts for an international goalie. English teams take the *!

    My thoughts exactly.

I was hoping we had brought Gordon in with a view to replacing Forster maybe next summer, giving him time to prove his fitness and show the manager that he's still the 'keeper he once was.

Gambling on him from the off is a bit mental in my opinion. What if he goes down with injury again?

On top of that, £7.5 million is a * joke. It's all I expect we'll get for him right enough.

It's crazy, a huge risk if the plan is to replace Forster with Gordon, no wonder 10,000 fans have stopped going. Downsize after downsize in the past few years.
