Thought he should have done better for the first two goals, slow to get out to the ball for the first and beaten at his near post for the second.

Writing was on the walls a wee bit after the Inverness game, he didn't look comfortable at all and it showed again against Juve. We needed a performance from the big man if we were to get a result and we didn't get one.

Would not have made it this far without the big man . Clueless * in defence done him no good either tonight.

Thats true, we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him, but on this game alone he was poor by his standards, part of that may be because he wasn't fully fit, gambles were taken on him and Efe and it didn't pay off.

Exactly. Love the big man, in all honestly he had * all to do tonight other than pick the ball out of the nt 3 times (although he was a spectator for the majority)

The big man was poor tonight. I've heard so much about how Artur Boruc was prone to * things up but Forster doesn't do that............well tonight he did. So it happens to them all.

I hate posting this, coz it looks like I'm having a go at Fraser Forster and I'm honestly not. I'm just defending Artur Boruc that's all.

Big Forster was probably rushed back too early but when you consider that the alternative was Zaluska then i don't think Lenny can be faulted in his selection.

Dont see how being rushed back from injury can be his excuse? His (neck) injury played no part in this match.

In saying that though the big man doesnt need to have an excuse to have one bad game, his performances this season have been outstanding.

Forster didn't look sharp last night but he can't be blamed for the defeat. Ambrose was poor too but Celtic didn't score at the other end when they were dominant either, it's a shame Juventus have Buffon although he wasn't seriously worked. I can't understand why Celtic kept taking the same approach at corners as Buffon was cleaning up in the air.
Juventus won the game on the couner attack but they still won.

Boruc looks to be settling down at Southampton, has made some great saves recently.

All footballers are prone to mistakes and that includes goalkeepers. The last two games Forster has been poor IMO but he's just back from injury. Artur Boruc went through a long period of making mistakes regularly because he allowed his mind to be elsewhere and was overweight.

There is a big difference between the two. Forster is a great professional.

Just watched the Game back there tonight, gutted we lost and can't believe we conceded 3 after dominating large parts of the game.
Can't help but feel our players let the occasion get to them. I mean the Barca game was a backs to the wall performance, but against Juve we found ourselves domination possession but when we got near the box and needed a quick 1 2 to open up their defence, we seemed to stop and either play the ball out wide or even backwards.

Lenny took a gamble that backfired, but I'm not sure that Effe was the player I'd have been gambling with. Sammy yes but a defender just off the plane from a winning cup final appearance no. Hindsight is a great thing I suppose, but Sammy would have been the player i'd have been gambling with.

Anyways onto big Fraser who has been a massive player for us this season, I can't help but say he was badly caught out for 2 of the goals, looked rusty since he's come back from his injury and not the man mountain he was for us in the Barca games.

It looks like Lenny doesn't trust Lukas so thats why Fraser's been rushed back, but If Zasluka had been playing against Juve and conceded goals in that way, we'd all be on here giving him *, not Celtic class, punt him etc

Forster was nowhere near 100% last nite. He looked very stiff. He was poor against Inverness and continued on last nite. NO point in having reserves if you don't trust them. Forster & Ambrose should have been NOWHERE near the park last nite. We played with 2 men missing. Mr Lennon takes the blame in my view. Coming back from injury takes time. Last 16 of Champions League football is NOT the place for anyone who is not 100%.

At least we know these players are going to pit 120% in the second leg. They'l have some decent gametime before then hopefully.
