    Boruc left Celtic a fat, alky, waster. Forster is leaving at his peak after consistently improving his entire Celtic career.

    Forster, by far, the better servant.

    No he didn't. Boruc played fine in his last season here. He never recaptured his 2006-2008 form but he still wasn't bad.

    Forster was a better servant to Celtic in as much as he was more professional and always gave 100%, sadly I can't say that about Boruc, but Forster's best form was never at the same level Boruc reached at his peak. Nobody will ever convince me otherwise. Boruc at his peak was in the top 10, maybe even top 5, keepers in the world, Forster has never reached that level and never will. Not that I'm knocking him, he's been * good for us.

    Given the choice right now, I'd take Boruc (at his best) every day of the week.

    I just don't rate Forster as high as many others, and tbh never have.

    Great shot stopper, but other parts of his game let him down. Kicking, coming for high balls, commanding his 6 yard box. All essential parts of being a great goalkeeper.

    I always think great keepers need to have character and be a bit mental.

    Boruc fits the bill and I seriously love him.

    I think if FF blessed himself a few times before games & showed the finger
    to a few opposition players / fans he would go up in a lot
    of supporters opinion.

    I agree with the mental though.:50:

    We've lost a real warrior between the sticks, his performances in the CL in the 2012-13 season were beyond heroic. It's a good fee to get for him, hopefully we can reinvest it in the squad. Anyways I'd definitely rate Forster well above Boruc, Boruc was a good character (sort of), while Forster was a machine between the sticks.

    Southampton are a lucky club.
