We got 2.5 mil for Boruc did we not ? or do you mean nothing as in such a low fee ?

I'd like us to buy a replacement because I don't think Gordon will be good enough but buying keepers is a huge risk so I'd be ok with us going down the loan route again

How the * did Benfica get so much for Oblak? He's only had a couple of full seasons in professional football. Last year, he was in their B team, even. :smiley-laughing002:

I think honestly we could have got more for him. He is that good. Hopefully we've added on some extras onto the deal.

    I'm not picky.
Definitely no need to get another 'keeper in. Gordon, Zaluska and Fasan...think that's enough to be honest, plus I think there are other areas that are of more importance to improve.

    This.

He's a massive man who fills the sticks well and he blocks a lot of shots with great reactive saves, but his decision making is suspect... particularly when dealing with high balls and crosses (which should be meat and drink to a man of his physical stature).

£10 million is an excellent price and we'd be daft not to cash in at that value.

Good luck to the fella, although I think his career is about to start going backwards.

Spot on. Was chatting to Sammy Lee on Wednesday and joked if he's waiting on us being knocked out of the CL before nicking our players.

He said the Forster deal has been on going for months, always happening regardless of the result, just that a win meant a bigger transfer fee and the player uses leaving CL football to get a bigger package.

    Wouldn't say anything on VVD...

I was quite surprised how honest he was. Quite refreshing.

We all knew this was happening, however it doesn't make it any easier to deal with.:54:

Gordon honestly worries me, I believe someone that has been so injury prone over the last however many years and been out the game for a couple too should not be our number 1 as that risk is * huge.

If Gordon can produce what he did with Sunderland before all the injuries then fair do's but lets face it how often to fans say that about players who have been injury prone for so long, the "well if he stays clear of injuries then they will be great" and how many players are really like that? plus given our track record with injury prone players I really don't feel comfortable with him as No.1.

I say all this but * knows who else we could get it in to be No.1 Marshall? if so Cardiff will probably demand most if not more then the Forster deal to let him leave. Boruc?, but I'd highly doubt he'd want to come back in all honesty but he certainly will not want to be second fiddle to anyone.

Let's hope Forster smashes it with Southampton and Liverpool come in with a stupid £35million bid to which we get 25% of:50:

Great shot stopper and was getting better at crosses i felt, but had some of the worst kick outs ever the first goal last week v Warsaw was straight from a kick out. Interesting to see how many goals celtic conceded straight from a Forster kick out.

£10m is a good deal, especially if we've 20% to give to those Magpie * :47:

Forster is without doubt an outstanding shot stopper, but his commanding of his area and defence is nithing short of mediocre, along with his kicking. I genuinely believe that if he were finally able to find a set of baws and start claiming balls in the air and going through anyone who gets in his way, he'd be challenging Neuer for world's best.

Time to move on now and find players who wish to be at Celtic.

Did Lukaz Fabanski end up going anywhere after he left Arsenal? Always thought he should have been Arsenal No1 I'd like him or Marshall to come in now
