i was his biggest critic ,but credit where credit is due . he has obviously worked hard to improve and he's looked pretty good of late. as it stands i'd sign him

His reactions definitely seem to have improved as has his kicking. I think he has made more match winning saves this season when we have been a goal up or at 0-0 at the time.

I think he's improved considerably with his decision-making, communication at distribution (sounds like FM but it's true). I always thought he was a decent shot-stopper but his positioning was sometimes off, I've seen a big improvement there. Thought he was often hesitant last season and didn't seem to have any relationship with his back four. Now I see them working well together - this may be in part due to have a fairly settled defensive unit. His quick throws have also been excellent.

The weaker elements of his game have improved.

I think its a myth that hes slow just because hes so tall.

I dont see any slowness or stiffness about his play.

Zaluska is a really stiff and slow keeper but no one ever says anything about it yet people do about Forster whos a lot sharper and more flexible than Zaluska :97:

    Everytime.

We get it, you don't rate Forster at all.

So you would prefer Kello over Forster? Daft.
Kello is ok, but no any better than Zaluska.

Forster is a better keeper than both, and is still young. But obviously this point is falling on deaf ears (and blind ignorance.)

all i saw last season was raw potential.

this season he has vastly improved imo. i think he has found his voice. he and the goalkeeping coaches have worked really hard on his weaknesses and it's paying dividends.

i'll admit i wasn't his biggest fan last season. i never questionned his potential. i questioned if we had the time to develop him. as we all know, it's a crucial area of the team as last line of defence and one player predominately dominating the number one spot for the season. i felt we couldn't wait for him to get up to speed.

this season he has put my fears to bed. he has acted upon his potential. if next season he progresses half the level he has this year, we could have a real player on our hands.

i've majorly switched alliegences, as you can probably tell. we must sign Forster, especially at a bargain £2m.

I don't think he's ever going to be another Andy Goram or Packie Bonner but i'm glad that he seems to have addressed the weaknesses in his game. Far too early to be calling him a great keeper though.

    I'm not picky.
Compared to last season I think his claiming for crosses and his command of his area has gotten better as has his confidence. He seemed to choose to punch the crosses rather than collect where he seems to be collecting them more now.

I agree though - he was really good last season, has carried on with that form but has been improving as the season has went on. Last season he had 21 shut-outs in the league and has 12 league shut-outs so far this season with 14 games (including the Hearts one today) to go so if he keeps this form up he'll do even better than last year.

If the cat can pull off double-saves like this then I'd take the cat too but only as back-up:bbpd:

Correct decision or not, if Forster doesn't react we go down 1-0. Another important save at a very important time. I really hope we get him on a permanent move.

You dislike him so much, he must be making mistakes left, right and centre.

Can you point me to a couple of recent ones?

It would be a massive mistake if Celtic didnt sign him permanently. He doesnt see his future at Newcastle, Newcastle dont see his future at Newcastle.

We wont get a better player for the money

You realize Foxy67 was the same guy who ROASTED the signing of Wanyama when it was made and after he had made a few appearances. Look how right he turned out on that one.

Ive never like the fact that Forster is the least eccentric keeper Ive ever seen but there is no denying he is solid in goal and still very young. A must buy.
