No, I'm afraid you've simply misunderstood my entire post.

I have my doubts that any other countries have such snobbery towards picking players like England.

As a result it has created restraints on English players, who feel only playing in The Premiership will give them the chance of playing international football. Funnily enough they spend time with arses planked on benches for the majority because a Yaya Toure, Van Persie or a better foreign player is picked ahead of them. I read recently that Paul Ince son turned down the opportunity to play in Italy to stay in England. Why he didn't want to take up the opportunity to sample another football culture is beyond me. Instead he'll probably sign for a Club where he spends the majority of time on the bench.

The English Premiership is not the "be all and end all of football". The best players who play in it for the majority of teams are foreign and prevent the development of England's potential players. For the record foreign players aren't the only reason why England continue to fail.

    Onto the Forster situation.

In my opinion(the important part is my opinion), Forster is the best of the 3 goalkeepers that England took to the World Cup(At very least he's 2nd choice). He's also a better goalkeeper than John Ruddy or Jack Butland who were his competition for the squad.

    Why???

    Simply down to his ability.

This pish about playing in Scotland is simply "snobbery" and "arrogance". Does it prevent other countries from selecting players from "lesser leagues"or "lesser clubs" from the nation?

If the old experience or playing at a decent level is the answer to that then playing games in the biggest tournament in Europe must not be good enough. This pish about Forster only playing 6 games a season is also nonsense. How many times did Forster have to make saves at crucial times when having little to do??? Doing what he's meant to do.

For me it's simple, players are picked on ability. Those who question Forsters inclusion on "ability" are clueless or haven't seen him play.

Being reported that Southampton have made an approach for Forster, they have also bid 8m for Marshall.

The thing that annoys me is the same Celtic fans who complain that Forster is overlooked for playing in the spl, will then complain at lee Wallace being picked for Scotland because he plays in the lower leagues.

I think its completely different in that case because Forster was still very much visible and high profile beacuse of Celtics participation in the CL. He was against quality international players in this tournament. Therefor could be measured as an internationalist.
Lee wallace was at Arbroath and Stranraer etc etc.

There is a gulf of a difference between the quality both faced. It would be a turn up for the books if international managers were ate Bayview and shitholes like that recruiting international players.

Lee Wallace made the choice when he stepped back. He would be caught cold stepping back up right now in my opinion. Hes been brought down a level or two.
He may well be looking at himself in a few years and asking * he's done !!

Feel sad for Boruc if that's the case. He must be getting on a bit now, though.

If Southampton want Forster, I'd want £8m and Boruc.

Was that Forster at the end falling on his *?

In all the interviews I've watched the players have said he's the most intelligent in the squad. I just can't see it myself.
