Shame he won't get a game. He makes at least one top class save every single match and has done for 3 years now.

Point 2 is basically my thoughts on it. He'll spend the next month or so being absolutely brainwashed into the EPL is the be all and end all patter.

First of all Congrats to Big Lurch on his call-up. Well deserved!!!

Secondly, read some really pish comments on various sources about how Ruddy should be in before him (apparently Forster only plays 6 competitive games a season:97::97:)

As a result ,I hope England get a * roasting in the competition. Big man is too good to be supported by * like the English.

    Without any doubts mate.

I had already consigned myself to the fact that he will want away regardless of whether he was called up or not.

Surely being called up has to put him in the £12m+ bracket?

Congratulations to the big man, but I echo some of the sentiments that Padmill expressed above.

The only positive thing to come of this will be the increase on his value whenever we eventually sell him on, as I can't really see him getting a game over there unless Hart makes another monumental error.

Nevertheless, it is great for the player, the club, and the country, that he made the squad whilst playing in Scotland.

Thing is, he is definitely 3rd choice keeper, so he's next to no chance of playing (considering Foster is a favourite of Hodgson from his time at WBA), so unless there is some sort of miracle he will not receive maximum exposure - but I can understand why the top league in England would wish to secure the top English players in the world - Lenny and Lawwell (im sure) will have already planned Forster's imminent departure from the clib and probably how much they would be asking for him IF he got called up, so its just wait and see now.

If/when he goes, I hope the deal is concluded early enough so we can bring in his replacement asap.

I had hoped he had been second choice but as long as he is going to brazil that is good. Hart is a better keeper but foster is about on par with forster but he's hodgsons pal.

He's vastly superior to Foster, as is Ruddy. I think Ruddy and Forster are better than Hart as well though but Poster Boy will walk into the side and won't be moved.

Well done big man. Should be the number 1.

He is a big game keeper, Hart and Foster are not. Hart is due a big blunder.

Glad he has gone was mixed reports last night about him being left out for Ruddy. Ben Foster was 100% going as Roy had him at West Brom and loves him so was between Ruddy and Forster.

    No; genuinely every match.

Take yesterday. A completely nothing game where * all happened until the 50th minute. He could have easily gone on mental holiday like the rest of the players but he still made one top draw save (I think from Mackay-Steven but can't remember exactly).

Everyone remembers his saves against Barca but the thing that makes me really appreciate FF is that he does it just as well against the Ross Countys and St Mirrens.

If he was more aggressive and commanded his box more he'd be world class and possibly 2nd best behind Courtois, now Cech and Buffon seem to finally be past it.

I really don't give a * about the England team but I was delighted for the big man that he got a place in the WC squad.

Great news well chuffed for the big man.

Lets hope Hart and Foster both pull a back muscle that keeps them out the tournament.

Great he's going to Brazil and love him to stay, but if he has ambitions of being England's No1, he'll need to move away either to the EPL or abroad. There's little chance of him being No1 playing in SPFL, even for us.

On the flip side he'll be able to tell them of the big CL nights at Celtic Park where nearly 60,000 fans turn the place into a carnival of noise and colour in support of the Bhoys .

No one in that England dressing room will have felt support like it.
