I actually quite like Woy but that is just total * bollocks. I can think of three games in the last year or so that he's * up for them. Away to Poland, away to Sweden and at home to Scotland.

He is a brilliant shot stopper but at kicking and at corners or crosses he just doesn't command his box well enough. He is no where near good enough to be Barcelona's keeper - He'll go to an Aston Villa or Sunderland probably in the end. Some of his saves against Barca were top class though. He is one of the best at one on ones in the world.

Barca haven't got a great many crosses to deal with - they keep it on the deck in the liga by and large. And you could probably make the same criticisms of Valdes if you wanted. Just saying like.

    I'm not picky.
I never saw them, mate, cos I didn't watch any of the games but if he had clangers in all three of those matches and Hodgson is saying that Hart's "never let him down" it's painfully obvious that he's got blinkers on when it comes to Hart. So because of this Hart will continue to get called up no matter how poorly he plays for Man City or England which is totally unfair on Forster as he has done more than enough to warrant a shot.

And here's me thinking that part of an international managers duty (or any manager's really) is to pick the most consistently BEST players for the team. What was I thinking :87:

I know!! And the fact he can drop and pick players more often than club managers can. Club teams have to wait for a window to open twice a year where as he has the pleasure of picking players when ever he wants, hense being able to pick players on form.

I think he's trying to do something different than usually, putting a bunch of the young English lads in, calling up Forster considering he plays in the Scottish premier league (which is unusal from an england coach as it is) and even playing a virtually unknown on the international stage considering his age, Ricky Lambert. So I think Roy is doing something different compared to the usual gaffers.

As far as shot stoppers go, there are not many better when big Fraz is on his game.

The Sweden one (could even argue there are two in that game) was Ibra's overhead kick. He rushed out like a * and got nowhere near it allowing Ibra to do what he did. Fantastic goal, but it was Harts fault.

Barca's main priority for a keeper is being good with their feet. It's why they're linked with Vorm and Reina. There's not a chance Forster will go to them imo, despite him potentially being one of the best keepers in the world one day.

Hes a better keeper than boruc in my opinion who was rated at 15 million at one point.i would be really dissapointed if we got 7 million.hes worth ten million in my eyes.

They will, with the performances he's put in against them. They won't sign him but they'll have an eye on him. Like they do many players.

Valdes is leaving so they'll be casting their eyes far and wide.

True, a like Forster and personally think the England call up is a double edged sword if he gets a game and has a howler the media down South will tear him to pieces affecting his confidence but if he has a good game his value will inflate.

Off topic although, find it surprising how we traditionally complain about keepers but both david Marshall and Artur Boruc are holding down places in the premiership and even Given has been down there for several seasons

No doubt he is worth £10-15 mil.

But because of the fact he is a Goalkeeper in Scotland that will affect what we could get for him.

Anyways i'm not wanting him gone as it will be a nightmare to find another decent keeper.
