    My fellow tims are WAAAAAAAAY TOO HARSH about Fraser Forster. He was a competent and solid goalie for us,much better than * like Douglas and Hedman in the past,the problem for him was that we were used to Artur Boruc and Fraser just didn't stand out enough and perhaps the fact he was a loan signing didn't help his cause.

    Would love us to get Shay but we certainly could do much worse than Fraser Forster and that is a fact.

    If Newcastle are willing to do business at £2-2.5million then I'd take Forster in a second. He had a very solid season for us. To begin with I didn't like him, but I wouldn't have liked any goalkeeper at that point because they were taking Artur Boruc's place, but as the season progressed, Fraser Forster grew on me more and more. I think he's a good 'keeper.

    Competent and solid goalkeeper yes he was, but you always had that thought at the back of your mind that he wasn't going to make the save or he was going to make a mistake.

    He is a decent goalkeeper and if we do get him i wouldn't be disappointed but i wouldn't feel overwhelmed either by the signing.

    £1.5M 23 years old. Can only improve. Can't really see much of a downside. He's still a bit raw but if he sorts out certain aspects he'd be top quality.

    Shame so many on here don't want him. Quality keeper with potential to be really top class.

    If he'd gone about his business throttling huns, winding up rangers fans and boozing then I guarantee most of our fanbase would be gagging for him to sign. Tragic.

    Would'nt mind this at all,He's only going to improve because its very rare to have an accomplished goalie at 23 years of age,plus he's got a year of spl footy under his belt.

    Ano mate I personally think he is as good a shot stopper as Boruc and he is definetly better at crosses than Boruc. His one downfall is kicking.
