we have needed the defence sortrd for a few years now and lennon has been at the club for years so he knew that we were not good enough at the back it should have been his priority yet he didnt sign a cb til mid august

right lenny spends all his budget on the defence and ignores the rest of the team? do we win the league? do we have a * hot solid defence?? the answer to that is unkown.you cannot say spending a fortune on the defence garantees you a great defence now does it?he has added to the defence thats fact. izzy has ben great! maj has been good needs help beside him! mulgrew? fair enough not good enough! cha? been not bad. he tried to get sol campbell remember? and do you think he didnt try for other defensive targets? you get some you lose some. so saying he dint give a toss to the defence is waay below par i think.

 

Lennon has absolutely no control over the budget. It is not his fault he was given a measly 600k to get rid of our achilles heel.

Dazza, you appear to dislike Lennon that much that you are willing to ignore the board's part in our demise and blame Lennon solely.

i love neil lennon ! he was my fav player for years ! just as important to us as larsson was during oneills spell as manager and we havnt replaced him since he left . being a great player and a good celtic man doesnt make you a good manager though! lennon said in the summer he had a list of players he wanted so if he wasnt allowed to get them in and he is a puppet then maybe he should resign but i dont believe that for a minute. from what iv seen of him and his team selection he wants to cram as many attacking players into his team as he can. his priority should have been defence and i dont see the board refusing him if he had wanted someone in ! to say i dislike lennon is untrue as i still class him as a hero of mine but that dont mean he is free from criticism when he does wrong as a manager.

Lennon was the cheap option for a board obsessed with the balance sheet. Lennon, an inexperienced manager, will have absolutely no influence when going to the board - if he demanded more funds, they'd tell him to sling his hook! That's all part of their reason for appointing him - They can appease the fans with a Celtic man and they also know that Lennon loves Celtic that much that he will not go demanding all sorts because he knows that it could jeopardise his chance to become a great Celtic manager. He needs to win things to have some sway and influence on the board but that job has been made harder due to the board's pitiful backing.

Our current custodians lack ambition and they are detrimental to the football club.
