Sammy, Loovens, Hinkel, Naylor, McGeady, Caldwell, McManus, Wilson, Fox, N'Guemo, Ki etc. etc. etc. I don't necessarily think he was the only one singled out for bad performances.

    Here's something for you:

Marc-Antoine Fortuné (Signed from Nancy on 8/7/2009 for £1.8m with £750,000 due per season over the next two seasons based on performances).

Anyone know if this is true?

Well people usually base their assumptions on last season.

When the Fortune deal was in the pipeline , STV ran with the story that a fee of £2.5m had been agreed between Celtic and Nancy.. Not sure what the truth is in the same way Donati's fee was either £1.3m or £3m depending on who you believed..

Fortune did okay.. Good assists and linkup play when he had a good player to feed off in Robbie Keane and scored the occasional sublime 30 yarder but just not good enough..
The last thing a manager should be saying when he unveils his new striker is in the region of "Don't expect him to score many goals , that's not his game"..

Disappoined here.. I think hes under rated and never got a proper run of games due to injury etc. His age is working against him though so if we recoup costs I can just about handle this deal....

dont understand this. fortune has been a regular in our team and unless lenny was playin him to get him sold ( i doubt it). both he and sammy have been playin ahead of murphy so he must think they are better than murphy. dont understand this, just think we had found his best posisition

Just off the phone to a couple of mates and they're disappointed he's away too. Said he was coming onto a game, that we'd found his best position and he's pacey once he gets going. They also believe we won't get anyone better for the money we got for him. He's truly a player who polarizes opinion. * it though, he's gone now.

Good thing is that he is away and we have re-couped some of the money we wasted on him, he wasnt good enough and never will be, hopefully he is followed by samaras aswell :50:

I think we have done well to sell him for the reported £2M +. Wish him well, however the guy just could not score a goal to save himself. He seems to be better on the right wing, but after last night I don't think he is a right winger or a striker. In fact I don't know what he is. Another failed expensive Mowbray project.

It's like you're painting yourself to be some kind of martyr! Haha. I think people are split down the middle about him, but I just can't see why. Guy wasn't up to it.
