he can't score 15 goals a season, don't you get that?! for all his work outside the box, for all his hold up play and what ever other imaginery trate you wish to give him, how many did his striker partner get? Isn't that how it works? one holds it up, knocks it down the other puts it in the back of the net? Jvoh & skippy like.
he got treated like * because he was *.
since when was a forward NOT a striker?
when they're playing in behind the strikers like wee maloney does sometimes. but Fortune wasn't playing that role, he was playing as a striker.

you're actually defending a celtic player who played up front, under what ever name you want to call it who scored 1 goal every four games? and four of them goals were against st johnstone or something fs. You can NOT justify a player playing up front for celtic scoring a goal every 4 games. especially when he wasn't flush with the assists either.
Tell me, was JVOH a striker or a forward?
    PLEASE Define the difference

12 goals and 10 assists, in his whole time here. that contriburtes to a shocking season ffs.

Bad piece of business. bought him for like 3.8m and sold him for like the half of it.

I wish him well, although I'm glad he's leaving since we are in need of real strikers that are capable of scoring goals.

I'm only doing it because other players have let us down a lot more than Fortune IMO, but didn't get nearly as much stick as he did. Not to mention that a lot of players were and are immune to criticism. Take Artur for example, he was fantastic, but then his form went downhill fast, he had blunders and shockers and a lot of the people were like it don't matter, he's the holy goalie, he hates the huns. Sure Artur has done a lot of good in the past, so he was cut some slack, but his attitude and performances were absolutely shocking for a while.

Or perhaps Paddy McCourt, who scores a wondergoal every couple of months, yet can't play much in between as he's never fully fit and is often a passenger even when he plays, but hey, he's the Derry Pele. While obviously Fortune cost a fair bit more than McCourt, he also contributed a lot more than McCourt ever has or possibly will.

hopefully he's replaced with Stokes or the isreali guy, we need another goal scorer in the team apart from Hooper.

Are you really talking about Moggas selection process? He continued to that even though everyone, including marc himself knew that he wasnt a goalscorer.

Maybe that's because he never learned from basic mistakes and showed no heart for the cause? I heard the fans singing his name many times

Considering the season we had last season, that is pretty good. Im not for one minute saying he was one of our best players, im saying he was more important to the team then people think. He DID hold up the ball and try to create chances, and like i said, he isnt an out and out goalscorer. Hes a forward.

feel sorry for him if you like, but don't build him up to be a better footballer than he is. say something like "shame it didn't work out for him, he just wasn't good enough for Celtic, best of luck to him at west brom."

you've not once described the difference between a forward and a striker and the expectations of each.
Once again, the season we had is contributed to by the pish strikers. we wouldn't have had as bad a season if we had a striker, forward, what ever you want to call it that could score the odd goal.

I see your point but you have to show the fans alot more than Forune did to get the kind of loyalty Artur enjoyed, I think the majority of fans got just what they expected from Fortune and it just wasn't good enough.

...Yeh when he first signed maybe. He always seemed to show heart for the cause for me, him and Sammy are about the only ones who give a toss.

it think its a * joke that he played last ngiht knowing he was flying to Birmingham and not Glasgow. How can he be fully focused on the game if he isn't going to be at the club anyway. Not to mention that you'd think the club would learn from the Hinkel incident not to play him if they are selling.
