I think a lot of people were willing MAF to do well and there were some glimmers, but not enough. So he is off to WestBrom, good luck to him, believe the number bounced around was £2.5 or there abouts, will take that.....Question???Does Lenny get this to spend, or after last night, will this be a down payment on the rebuild so far???

he did a lot of good work in build up play but just didn't score enough goals and i was never really confident he would score in a game. i thought he looked a lot better out on the right when he stayed out there but again he probably failed to beat his man to the bye line more times than not

probably more glad than sad he's away to be fair and i'm looking forward to seeing who comes in. Stokes at least is more of a goal threat but not my ideal choice asa replacement

Good luck to the guy, thought he would of done well this season.

Would of liked to keep him, but if he was a high earner then was probably better to off-load him.

Just hope we got around what we paid for him. Seriously worried for this season now with our strikers. Thought it would be a more logical choice to keep him until we have a new striker signed. Now we're left with Hooper, Samaras, Maloney, Murphy-who i cant see scoring us lots of goals- and Rasmussen-who i can honestly see being off-loaded if Mainz come in with an offer...

there's no way we got close to the 3.8 we paid, still a good deal though I think, reported to be 2 mill rising to 2.25 if West Brom stay up. Just another failed Mowbray idea.

There were days when he was battering the ball in from 30 yards.....strong as an ox....using his pace.

Then there were days when he did * all and was getting pushed off the ball by players half his size. His head goes down far to easy and I think there were days he was nothing but a passenger.

I really liked hime but there was no middle ground. He was either a 9/10 or a 4/10.

    Good luck big man!!

I heard the same about £2-2.5 Mill....So with Fortune gone, is Stokes the answer....will Lenny even be given the money after last nights f*&k up...board might rethink and take this as a down payment on the rebuild so far....

Hard to say but will know by Tuesday.

If Celtic sign another striker to replace Fortune I will be happy enough.

There are so many new players and the team needs time to gel. However Fortune (and Samaras) has not proven consistent performers. Therefore pleased that we have cashed in and this should hopefully mean more opportunities for Paddy and Forrest.

Im disappointed to see him go. Really liked him out wide right with his pace and power. Defo didnt score enough goals but out on the channels i thought he did well.
