Of course there's others involved but Forster contributed massively to the clean-sheet record.

He pulled off some fantastic saves during matches that he's stood and had nothing to do for a while, that's a sign of a good 'keeper. Especially for a team that normally dominates matches.

He's went from a future England keeper to a dud on the forum, it's crazy. Put it this way, if we weren't behind four points and we were leading - this thread wouldn't exist.

People are looking for someone to blame and it shouldn't be Forster.

I don't think everyone is looking to blame Forster for anything. I just think we are pointing out, and rightly so, that he isn't good enough. We identified we needed a keeper at the begining of the transfer market and we got him on loan. Not good enough in my opinion.
On a side note Pletikosa is 'in form' on fifa 12 ultimate team so he must be doing something right. (By the way that means he's been identified by EA as the best performing goalkeeper last week)

Still one of the world's best too.I think he was open to offers but sadly it didn't happen. ( Cue all the posts about wages etc, people calling Given a money grabber even though no offers were made by Celtic).:31:

clean sheet record + already has few clean sheets this year. * keeper though!. It does get boring reading the number of people saying he's not good enough due to completely unrealistic expectations of the club. Celtic are lucky to be in europe and they are going to be knocked out at the first hurdle. Fact. You can't afford top players and as long as you remain in the scottish league system it doesn't look like anything will change. Given, Gordan etc. are out of your league as you can't afford them. There is simply not enough money in the spl for you to compete with the EPL + championship. The sooner you accept this fact, you may start to get off your players backs and start supporting your team.

take it YOU are not a fan ?

i used to back the guy, he is pish though

how can a giant not claim a cross?

he cant kick although i applaud how he works at it constantly

he could never save a penalty .

i like him, as a person, seems very humble

needs to improve and now, or were *

we need to back him to the hilt as we need him confident

    totally mixed opinion i suppose

The title of this thread is one of the best ever although i agree that the cowardly lion is more appropriate! Joking aside, i'd love to see Forster being more confident, i think he lacks self belief and that shows through in his performances.

    +1

Thought he was decent at the weekend though

But thought he was diabolical against the huns

An absolute shitebag of a keeper, you can see the terror in his face when he steps past the 6 yard line

and has also been said, he's about as agile as steven hawkings whae cramp

definently, like i say he's too young for a club of this magnitude

if he cant handle a small club like newcastle then he shouldnt be first choice for us

Was reading Ronnie Whelan's autobiography and he was talking about Bob Paisley having a great knack for picking the right players at the right time and getting the correct blend of youth and experience. Sadly, i think Neil Lennon is the opposite and it may well be the case that being Celtic keeper has come too soon for Forster.

I would have Zaluska back in goals until a suitable replacement is found Foster can't seem to do anything right except maybe one good save every 4 matches

So would i but unless FF starts making a lot of mistakes, Lennon won't drop him and even then, it's possible he'd stick with him.

I'm happy with Forster as number 1, no matter the amount of ill will towards him.

It goes past the clean sheet record as well, he is a massive presence with rough edges that are improving.

As the great Kevin Bridges said,

"next time you get a suspicious package Lenny, forward it to Fraser Forster cuz there's no way he'll come out and * collect it!"

    :56::56:

Don't think he's all that bad though, hasn't made as many mistakes as De gea for example at Man U, and look how much he costs and earns!
Defence is our biggest problem, but Goalie defo needs to be more assertive.
Keepers are always nutters and/or idiots and Forster is one dopey * so I thought he'd be a good GK :56:
