Could’ve possibly been bad morale in the squad? Was your squad too big? Or players not getting their promised playing time? Can be worthwhile to change important players to squad players etc if possible if you don’t think they’ll play most games

 

Don’t think they were happy about a few things. Konate wanted a new contract which I patched accidentally and they didn’t like that. Nothing major though.

Season 4

I’ve been a wee dirty in the Summer, applying for Bayern, Inter, PSG, even Las Palmas and Angers for a project if I don’t get the big boys.

Declared interest in Roma, Spurs and Bilbao too, to see if they will budge. Sorry Ange.

PSG fans consider me the leading candidate, they really are a dim fanbase.

Angers and Bayern came in with interviews first. I told Bayern I’d withdraw from other jobs to join them. Became the leading candidate with bookies. Definitely living off the CL win.

Signed a deal at the beginning of July. HWG.

Leipzig are a force. Pushed me all the the way to to last day and they won the league by 3 points. They also put us out the Pokal in the Semi’s. Chelsea knocked us out the CL in the last 16.

Not ideal. Guler was unreal and might tey keep him. Doku is in the squad and he was also very good which I didn’t anticipate. Grealish was a risk but I needed a cheaper option, chipped in with 12 goals and 8 assists so a good signing. I need a keeper, got a guy called Alvaro Valles in goal.

A keeper and Wirtz is the aim.

* I’ve just noticed Kane is going to Real Madrid and Kimmich doesn’t want to sign a contract. I keep missing these big contracts.

Season 5

2nd season with Bayern. The board weren’t happy with the first season but it was an improvement on their previous, told them we’d win the league so kept them from sacking me.

Transfers In: Arda Güler (£70m), Moises Caicedo (£85m), Dennis Seimen (£74m), Ousmane Dembele (£40m), Baleba, Buonanotte and Barco all on loan from Brighton

Transfers Out: Kimmich (Free), Kane (Free), Sane (£50m - Arsenal), Wanner (£41.5m - St Etienne), Stanisic (£47.5m - Real Madrid), Hennig (£15m - Sociedad)

The 3 Brighton boys on loan might seem strange but I had about £14m left and a tiny squad. Really needed some decent depth and they were all listed, all around 2.5 Stars in terms of current ability with really positive stats. They all played ok when needed.

Got Güler in permanent, he’s excellent 28 goal contributions in 40(4) games. Mathys Tel filled the Kane role well with 26 goals. Hakimi and Caicedo averaging a 7.2 over the season, two best out the starting XI.

Won the league by 7 over Dortmund after Leipzig fell off. Won the Pokal, possibly a favourable draw with Kaiserslautern in the final. Although we beat Leverkusen in the QF.

CL didn’t go as well, out to Man City in the last 16.

But Germany complete after 2 seasons, not sure I’ll have the same luck getting a top job but my reputation must be high now.

Season 8

Applied for the Newcastle and Chelsea jobs to see what kind of budget they were offering. Got offered both jobs but decided to turn them down, for better or for worse. In it with Nice til we topple the Parisian Parasites. But.. hold on..

PSG offered me an interview out of nowhere

My interview was unsuccessful

Now I’m really in it with Nice til the death

Real Madrid offered me an interview

.. but it was also unsuccessful.

Went absolutely balls out on transfers. Put the club in a decent bit of debt. I was actually seriously considering turning the psg job down when they offered me the interview. Changed formation to a 433 except no wingers, just 3 pressing forwards.

25 wins, 8 draws, 1 loss over the league season. Some outstanding performers over the season:

Nunez: 33 goals, 20 assists in 50(1)
Sesko: 31 goals 9 assists in 31(8)
Gouiri: 24 goals 17 assists in 46(5)
Valverde: 5 goals 27 assists in 52

Lost the cup final 2-1 to Monaco
Knocked out of last 16 CL by Napoli 4-3 on agg

but won Ligue 1 by 5 points, beating 3rd place PSG by 6.

Bayern job is insecure. Chelsea job is available and they’re in the Europa League next season. Very interested in both but would rather the Bayern job for sure.

Cheers mate, was buzzing when I saw I won the league. When I started simming I had drawn 3 and won 1 in the league against mediocre sides. Thought I was headed for about 4th/5th place to be honest! Of my 7 signings they all started the vast majority of games except Calvert Lewin who did damage off the bench, that did it for me

Got the Chelsea gig. Going for the Europa League and the prem. plenty of work to do on the squad

Won all 8 Europa League games, scoring 48 and conceding 3. Then beat Motherwell (lol), Rennes and Spurs. Met Monaco in the final, who started Nkunku up top who I just sold to them in the summer

Was missing about 4 starters, including Vlahovic who was only fit enough for the bench. Kimmich smashed in 2 free kicks and we won the Europa League 5-0 to secure the treble. Vlahovic ended the season on 49 goals

Season 1

Scrapped United effort quickly as that club is just too much of a basket case.
Went with Spurs instead.

Main thing to do was streamline the first team so my AssMan would have a fair selection to pick from.
Only two major out going transfers and one incoming transfer.

Out
Skipp - £18.25m west ham
Richarlison - £33m Al-Ittihad

Moukoko - loan with option to buy at £99m

Simmed it for the entire campaign (before window closed). Keeping an eye on the results as it loaded through, I was second for large parts of the first half of season. Got to first, dropped to 6th. Eventually secured 4th slot by end of the season and UCL spot.

Got booted out the Carabao by Fulham.

Managed to beat City in the final of the FA cup though, so first trophy in the bag.

Stupidly, I didn't set any specific player to play most of the season, so my loan deal for Moukoko was near pointless.
Last 4 games (3 in league 1 final) he bagged 3 goals and I went to trigger the buy option only for the board to refuse to sanction the value.

Werner finished my top scorer with 19 int he league, seconded to Halaand, and I've snapped him up for £14m for the next season now.

Going to stick with Spurs.

Season 6

So after completing Spain, I resigned to try somewhere else. Applied for Lyon, Marseille...and Bayern.

Like @MacEwan, I ended up in Munich!

They'd just finished 3rd, behind Dortmund and league winners Leipzig. Kane was pretty much done physically. No Kimmich or Goretzka. Bit of a rebuild required.

Transfers

In: Owen Butler (£80m - regen), Emil Larsen (£45m - regen), Pietro Bruni (£41m - regen), Callan McKenna (£50m).
Out: Angelo Stiller (£48m), Boyomo (£24m), Mason Greenwood (£40m).

Spent a * load, mainly on regens. Butler is * unbelievable though - finished the season with 25 league goals in 27 games and is now one of the best strikers in the world, if not the best.

On to performances...

Won the league by 11 points, ahead of Dortmund! Leipzig fell off a cliff and finished 5th.

Somehow I got knocked out of the Pokal in the 2nd round by Karlsruher. Raging at that.

But most importantly...won the Champions League! Beat City in the final, 1-0, with my two first choice full backs out injured (Davies and Kayode).

Absolutely brilliant season, with Butler, Doku and Sucic being the standouts.

Only pain is I have to stay in Germany for another season (hopefully just once) just to win the Pokal.

Only 5'7 though, but everything else is insane. And he's still only 21 with 15 determination.
