I started playing my last save again after almost a month of no FM, won the CL again with Roma, now entering my 9th season in the game I quit at Roma after 3 seasons there, was getting too easy, cause I had a super team, I had Akinfeev in goal and Sakho as a centreback = a wall.

I got an offer from Arsenal, started rebuilding the team, tons of money to spend and I sold a fair amount of players like Adebayor, Sagna, Djourou, Senderos, who were all still in the team. Walcott already had an agreed transfer to Man City.

Bought mostly regens and Asenjo, cause Roma wanted too much for Akinfeev. Also brought two regens from Roma that I brought through the ranks there, one is on his way to being a world class defender.

Oh and it's 2016 now and McClaren has been named England manager again.

 

I'm starting to fall away in the league and I have a lot of injuries. Managed a great 3-0 win over Sevilla but I've had some really bad results.

The back line needs to be improved. Nelson and Juanito are the only two I consider good enough, but Nelson wants to leave and Juanito is 33 now.

I've signed a LB, RB and 2 CB's for next year already so hopefully that imrpoves the quality. Think I'm still overachieving with this set of players so I'm looking to add all over the pitch.

 

Eventually slipped down to 7th. It's not too bad considering it means I qualify for Europa again.

The worrying thing is that everyone else was so many points behind Barca and Real. There was a 21 point gap between 2nd and 3rd, and I was another 10 points behind.

Two 7th place finishes is pretty good going really, but I don't think I can over-achieve again without spending a bit of cash. So there will be a few of the * (for lack of a better word) squad members leaving and some hopefully top quality replacements coming in.

I need to replace a few of the aging members of the side ASAP. Guys like Ricardo, Juanito and Aurelio who have been solid players are all 32/33 now.

I've already spent big to bolster the defence. Done deals to get Guillerhme from Almeria, Gustavo Cabral from River Plate, Pedro Lopez from Valladolid and Dani Jarque from Espanyol.

 

Spent big this summer.

Added to Jarque, Cabral, Lopez and Guilherme by bringing in Asenjo and Oubina from two of the relegated clubs. Also brought in Marquinhos and a couple of players have returned from loan spells.

 

anyone using the alloutattack update? av just got the beta version released on the 28th, its really good..almost all transfers inc Hutchison to Swansea are completed.
I had a no bad few games going with Leeds and Falkirk but want to try something newer and updated... maybe the Notts County game... any suggestions guys?

 

I started a Notts County game but I just downloaded a more recent update than the one i had so im going to start again tonight.
I dont really like buying players just for one season, i like to buy players for present and future and its difficult to identify players like that for Notts County so its a challenge.

 

Anyone ever seen a player called Denis Alibec? He starts at a Romanian team Gloria Buzau and can be signed for 200k or so at the start. Well I have him at Arsenal now, was signed before I took over for 28m from Bolton.

Yeah I signed him for Zamora in the 3rd season for something like 70k. What year are you in?

I Just Finished My Season With Celtic. Finished 2nd ;[[ Sold Most Of Players & Got In New Ones. Got David Beckham, Eidur Gudjohnson & A Few Other Foreign People I Never Heard Of. Got About 10Mil Left & Need To Get A Good Finisher & Defender

 

Try and get Cardozo for stiker or Diakhate for defence. Don't think you'd be able to get both for 10m as they would probably cost ~7m each
