Well you can't start as both, start as one and then apply for either a national team or a club team job as they become available.

Do you only get Football Manager 2009 for the PC?

 

I think so, the last Xbox one was 08 I think.

 

I thought so. I heard it was something to do with the controls on the xbox and that's why they couldn't get FM09 on the xbox.

Is it any good on the PC?

I've been looking for a good football manager game for ages and i think i'm just going to go for this one.

Aye i know mate, it's pretty poor that there's really only one football manager game.

 

When you have FM you don't really need others though.

 

There have been other pretenders to the throne, but FM is King.

 

as i had to go back to my last save , i beat oldham 5-0 in the fa cup ( doyle hat trick ) ipswich 4-0 ( doyle hat trick ) and sheff utd 2-1 at home ( doyle double ) i got newcastle away in the next round of the fa cup.

 

out of the fa cup , beaten 5-1 away by newcastle , mind you newcastle were sitting 4th in the epl and guess who my scorer was, yes you guessed it kevin doyle

 

Right lads, i just went down to tesco at lunch time and bought FM09 for the PC. It better be good or i'll hunt you down!

Is it easy enough to get started?

 

What I like about FM is that it's equally rewarding if you decide to go into details and micromanage everything (training schedules, every tactics detaisl etc) or just choose a preset tactic and pick and sign players. It's up to you to play how best suits you, but it's not too difficult for newcomers to get into it either.

 

is there an editor on fm09 like in the past, im wanting to move us and the manky mob into the epl....

 

Once you find you're way around it it's dead simple and really enjoyable.

Start with somewhere familiar and not massively challenging, like Celtic obviously.

my fm crashed so i have to go back and play newcastle again.
