who's a good affordable assistant manager to replace him with?

 

John Park would be a very good choice, Celtic Youth coach, look at his stats, very good imo. He'd do if you cant get better

For me , what i look for in an assistant, motivating, man management, tactical knowledge, judging players, working with youngsters are the keys imo

Park ticks alot of boxes and you'll have an easy time getting him!

Bug in the game,

Finished top of my group based on the fact that I had a better head to head with Arsenal but they had better goal difference. I'm down as top of the group but I'm playing at home for the 1st leg, usually the 1st seed gets away first then home tie.

One of many bugs!

 

aye from what I hear there are loads! that one I got with the work permit is a strange one, doesn't happen with appiah..

try get brian McClair from manchester..he comes at a price but he has celtic in his heart n is a good motivator n picker of the team ect.. again though you might not get him for 2-3 seasons depending on your success

 

I remember McClair from FM07 & FM08, I'll wait until I have some success first, then I would get on the phone to him :icon_mrgreen:

 

yeah lol i use alot of folk from 07 n 08 lol Its hard finding good youn players on the cheap now though cuz all the ones who where gems last year are stupidly priced now

youth coaches. lattapy,macnamara,moravcik, soon to be zurawski.
goal keeping, marshal <gets good when you send him on courses.
first team coaches, mcclair,

those are just some of the new ones, still got most the defaults lol i feel a massive cull coming soon though.

 

You have the table of how to get 7 stars for all training categories I presume??

 

no what's that about? My defence is at 4 n the rest are 3 or something.. i find it hard to do all that training stuff lol i just normally select auto.

 

So is FM09 worth getting? i loved 08 untill i snapped the disc by accident.

That is the formula to success. You get one coach in each discipline and assign him yourself, none of that auto *, its crap.

I usually have one first team coach, 2 fitness, one goalkeeper, one for each of the other disciplines and hopefully the rest in youth coaches. Thats my formula.

Hibs have been pretty much unstoppable so far although i've not played them yet



We're both unbeaten, but I went through a horrible run of form of 3 straight draws against Falkirk, Dundee Utd & Rangers (JVOH, 88th min but we dominated the match. They had 1 shot on target, 1 goal)

Looked like i'd end it vs Motherwell, was winning 2-0 but they pulled it back to 2-2

Then in the 90+1min some young Ukranian striker (I had all my strikers on) scored the winner :icon_mrgreen:

Got Arsenal, Sporting and Fiorentina in CL

Pumped 4-1 off of arsenal at parkhead, outplayed and beat 2-1 in portugal. Hope to beat fiorentina twice and finish 3rd

Yea, i want to do this with my staff, in all other FM's its the main priority for me. But money is tight so far so I have to wait for contracts to run abit more and wait for the regen coaches to start appearing and my poaching begins!! and then I dominate europe like a *!

 

Legend Mate, thanks for that table, I generally go for coaches in a discipline with 15+ didn't know you could combine the skills like that to ahieve top results.

EDIT: Speaking of coaches, I searched Zidane and he was an unemployed youth coach lol.

I asked lads on the SportsInteractive forums about this, and they say he'll be in the game sometimes, and other times he won't, just your luck.

I * myself when I seen him lol.

 

I thought the training thing was common knowledge!
