Flares at Tonight's Game

Both the smoke and flare were excellent. They helped keep the atmosphere intense enough to keep the singing go for pretty much 90 minutes, including huddles everytime Swansea scored. Was good fun.

 

Had one next to me at T in the Park and it was * awesome.

 

as it was a friendly i didnt generally mind who won but the way I jumped up and celebrated the Swansea goals (without gloating to the away fans for the first time ever) kinda shows that Swansea is embedded deep within me, despite the abuse ive recently got on the Swansea forum for messages ive posted in this very thread about the game.

If Swansea met Celtic in a European Cup game I would support Swansea no doubt about that but there wouldnt be any bad feelings or boasting etc, luckily the chances of this happening are next to nothing so job done. Swansea is the heart i guess and Celtic is the mind, in that Swansea are my local club and the team that I love whereas celtic appeal to me mentally due to the ideologies, the fanbase, the history.

i think flares remain special as they are so rare over here. I was literally transixed. I was on my feet taking pics and the couple next to me were just like "* is wrong with u, grinning to yourself".

Anyway Jezz easily the most impressive away support to the Liberty, not even debatable. As i said earlier (and to the benefit of any swans fans stalking me) its a shame the friendly was so expensive for us (hence the low turnout) and it was a competative game, the atmosphere would have been brilliant with both fans feeding off each other.

As for the Birmigham game my best mate is a massive bluenose and he was on the pitch at that game and he still says he imagines its what its like to be in a war, just red flares being launched back and fore. exciting and scary at the same time he says.

p.s. where the * do you even buy flares from neway?!

 

No doubt they look great, but setting them off is an extremely inconsiderate act. As others have said they are banned for a reason and anyone setting them off deserves to get kicked out.
