Difficult one , he breached the terms of his original bail so that wouldn't go down well with the court. I think the jail term is harsh because I would imagine he will now likely be kicked out of the army. Perhaps if the court could have asked the army to make him serve 2/3 months in an army prison and hit him with a large fine. While this is harsh, hopefully can be appealed, maybe the severity might persuade people to give it a rest with the smoke bombs and flares.
Surprised he has had any sympathy mind, given his choice of employer

 

Another €19,000 UEFA fine for fireworks. Getting daft now. Can't understand the logic of continuing to do it when you know it's likely to land the club in trouble and out of pocket.

Seriously though, I wish we would just * stop with the pyro, especially European nights when 1. we don't need them to create an atmosphere, and 2. they keep getting us fined.

The flares they use don't affect folk with respiratory problems, do they?
