Watched a horror I'd never heard of this eve, Talk to Me. Try and watch at least 1 or 2 new horrors every week, definitely not the worst I've seen.

Watched the Fall Guy, decent easy watching film..nothing major though 6.5/10.
Kingdom of the Planet Of the Apes, worst of the franchise so far 4/10.

Think al stick with searching for older films I haven't seen yet from the 50s onwards haha.

I was actually impressed with fall guy. I couldn't be arsed watching it but the Mrs really wanted to. Turned out it was enjoyable. Also a bit of insight into how some stunts etc are done although far fetched as * it was better than the trailer suggests.

    Under Paris.

Look, I like a good shark movie but this is - not - the new Jaws. It's not even the new 47 Metres Down never mind the new Deep Blue Sea.

    It's a 4/10 flick at best.

    Rebel Moon: Part 2

Baffled here as i seen some reviews more or less slating the movie due to lack of world building thats in part 1, but not sure why it would be? The second was always going to be about the siege on the village and the resistance and they filmed that pretty much perfectly. All of the set-up had already been done which allowed us to get dropped in the action fairly quickly - solid 8/10 for me. Definitely a fun watch and i'll look forward to the directors cuts later this year (for both parts).

Watched Android City last night and thought it was brilliant. Third Wes Anderson film I've seen after Grand Budapest Hotel and Fantastic Mr Fox and I really enjoyed both of those.

Some pretty mixed reviews - I guess you either really like the aesthetic or it annoys you. But I think it's great. If you like quirky science fiction give it a go.

With Wes Anderson films you know what your getting and if you like that style they're all pretty much winners.
Haven't seen many of his later films tbh, I just watch Royal Tenenbaums for my fix, great film.

I'm on the other side of the fence with this one. I have liked most of Wes Anderson's films, right from early on with Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, Royal Tenenbaums, Budapest Hotel etc, right through to Isle of Dogs. But French Dispatch and Asteroid City, not as much and far more hit and miss, and can't say was super impressed with Henry Sugar either.

Watched Godzilla Minus One last night.

Thought it was great. Incredible achievement on such a small budget.

So happy to watch the full thing again for first time since its release.

‘Virginia Heath’s hypnotic archive film, From Scotland With Love, offers a cinematic reflection on 20th century Scotland - and the human experiences that defined the era. A journey into our collective past, this is an exploration of universal themes of love, loss, resistance, migration, work and play. Ordinary people, some long since dead, their names and identities largely forgotten, appear shimmering from the depth of the vaults to take a starring role.’

    Short Term 12

Watched it the best part of 10 years ago and rewatched it last night. Feel like it’s such a slept on film. Never heard anyone mention it before and it’s brilliant.

Some cast as well. Brie Larson, LaKeith Stanfield, Rami Malek and Kaitlyn Dever.

Just seen a trailer for Popeye the Sailerman played by Conor Mcgregor! If this is not a * take then I think this could be the greatest idea ever to have crossed someones mind.
