Watched Dune 1 and 2 over yesterday and today.

Remarkable films. If the third is as good as the first two, you have to imagine it will go down as one of the best trilogies ever - alongside LOTR and Star Wars (overrated).

The world building and just sheer scale of the films and setting is almost as good as it gets. Casting is spot on across the board. 3 or 4 of the younger actors are pretty much the next megastars in film - Florence Pugh, Timothee Chalamet, Austin Butler and potentially Zendaya.

Went to see Dune 2 last night and thought the audio and visual effects were stunning but found it a bit long and boring.
Thought a lot of the praying and chanting and kinda general desert/cave scenes were a bit overdone, surely some of these could have been cut back a bit. Wasn't really into any of the characters either, that wee Desert Spring lassie came off angsty and annoying and I only bought into Paul sparingly tbh.
I haven't read the book and maybe come across as a bit of a boomer or philistine who doesn't "get" it but that's what it thought.
I'd give it 7/10 or so.

    Late Night With the Devil

One the the better 'found footage' horror/comedy flicks of recent times, wiht a cool premise well done, and has a point, which works on a few different levels rather than just horror for the sake of itself.

Wouldn't mind sitting through this one again.

Tonight I will be doing my annual watch of the best British gangster movie ever made. The Long Good Friday with the wonderful Bob Hopkins. Also a wee nod to Celtic Fan PH Moriarty who plays Razors.

If you haven't watched it... You really should. Have a good Friday.

Right I'm going to give these a watch. Think I'd really enjoy it. Just need to get a day where I'm in the mood for a couple of long films.

Christopher Nolans Batman Trilogy for me, too.

LOTR, Dark Knight and Star Wars Original trilogy. Best 3 ever.

Saw Godzilla x Kong last night.

Not as good as the previous movies. But your usual switch off and enjoy a bit of daft action kinda movie.

A trilogy where all three movies are the same high standard is a rare thing but I would include Die Hard and Austin Powers tbh

A blend of Indian culture and mythology with John Wick-esque action. If you're an action fan, you'll probably dig it.
