Intentionally so, very 80's 'B' flick feel to it, definitely.

    Creed III

Well enough directed and acted but oterwise entirely predictable.

    Champions

This is pretty much exactly the same as the Emilio Estevez Disney 'Champions' (called Mighty Ducks in some places), with the only differences being a team of players with special needs playing basketball instead of a bunch of pre-teens playing ice hockey. And with that comes everything you'd expect. :/

    65

Adam Driver and a little girl are the only survivors on a ship that crash lands on pre-historic Earth, survive countless encounters with dinosaurs and have about an hour and a half to get off the planet. Fine for what it is, doesnt outstay its welcome but is entirely naff.

Aye, it's good. We'll never know if it's true, but quite a few coincidences, like Danny's jumper, the room number, the bears in the background etc. Crazy *.

Is this finally the fatigue for Marvel movies then? How many times can they keep coming up with this stuff? I know you can say that about any movie, but these ones are surely running it’s course a bit by now

In saying all that, I’m assuming there will be a big reception for Guardians of the Galaxy 3 since it’s their final one

I watched the film Life ages ago, one with Jake Gyllenhal, Ryan Reynolds, Rebecca Ferguson. I patched it as was finding it kind of boring but watched it right through there and it was actually decent enough, really liked the ending. I always find films about being in space quite unsettling.

Also watched Flight again with Denzel Washington, love that film.

Not seen anything new in a while but thing that Man Called Otto one is on the cards tomorrow.

@Sean Daleer can’t find the comment now but think it was you who recommended Malice. Certainly enjoyed that last night, thanks

That must have been years ago. Good memory mate :giggle1:

    Malice is excellent.

If you liked that then I recommend The Game starring Michael Douglas. Another twisty thriller from the 90s.

Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre............................chucked it after 30 mins.

Normally really like Guy Ritchie films, but for whatever reason this didn't do it for me.

Ran by Akira Kurasawa. About 3 brothers that go to war with each other over their father's kingdom.

    The cinematography is outstanding...

    Scream 6

A fun watch, as expected. Also absolutely ridiculous, as expected. Solid cast and characters, but some of the non-deaths were farcical.

Switched it off after about 20 minutes:giggle1:

I like a * horror but can’t stick these newer slasher films. At least the classics from the 80s were intentionally camp and cheesy, the modern ones take themselves too seriously and try and be too gorey for the sake of it without the campness.

Watched Dead Man’s Shoes last night after seeing it was voted #1 on Taz’s vote for best 00s movie on here. Bit underwhelming to be fair.. don’t think if people watched it back they’d rate it as highly. Some of the acting was awful. Decent enough film.. 5/10 for me.

Champions was good. Just what you expect from a feel good movie. Solid 7/10.

Thought Dead man's shoes was immense. Will always be a 10/10 for me. Thought Consadine was incredible.

Super Mario. Critics hated it, public is loving it. Suspected that might be the case after watching it myself. Everyone coming out the cinema were raving, both adults and children.

It’s a proper nostalgic look at the world of Mario, switch your brain off and just smile for an hour and a half. Might be because Mario Kart was my jam growing up but I thought it was pure class.

    9/10.
