Against the Ice 6/10 Interesting story, mental what explorers were up against not so long ago, in the broad scheme of things.

    Scream (new one).

Pretty good tbh. Took the * with the “everybody is a suspect” stuff. I know that’s the point, and that’s great, but every 5 minutes every character was being accused of being the killer.

Would say it’s the second or third best in the franchise.

    The Duke

Amiable little yarn, based on a true story about when the Duke of Wellington's portrait was 'borrowed' from the National Gallery in the early 60's. Bit like a modern version of the type of flicks that the old Ealing Studios would produce back in the day.

Interstellar is Nolan’s best film I think.

I seen the trailer before going to watch this. I feel like the only good moments from that film were all included in the trailer. The rest of the film just felt like filler. Don't get me wrong, it's an easy watch, just a bit boring in parts.

Not having sat through the trailer - I always try to avoid trailers/spoilers - but it is an easy, tea-and-biscuit type of watch, nothing too complex going on - in other words, a modern take on the Ealing studios formula.

    The Batman - 8/10

Very good movie, final act almost ruins it for me but the rest is very good.

Shutter Island 7/10 First time I've got round to watching it. Quite weird but really liked it.

Is that the Reese Witherspoon/Matthew Broderick one? If so, concur... cool movie!

Sat through another of her movies from around that same time this evening, SFW (aka So F*cking What?). Mus've been 20-odd years and still stands up ok.

    The Batman.

I like that it’s went in a bit of a fresh direction from the Dark Knight trilogy. The film itself is a bit of a slow burner but it suits the story being told. Pattinson is good as Batman but he felt awkward as Bruce. I’d say it’s on a par with Batman Begins.

    The batman.

Load of *. Boring build up with little pay off. As above said he looked like a junkie teenager outwith his suit. Annoying "dark" tune on a piano through out the entire movie that got on my nerves. Tried to be too dark and grimey and ruined it imo. Not enough of the bad guy. Basically batman met the boring sherlock homes mixed with rubbish modern bad guy for the twitterverse and saw fans. They had zero confrontations though out. Not for me.

    Last King of Scotland 7.5/10

Another movie just got round to watching, but thought it was great. Forest Whitaker is brilliant in it.
