I would reverse the grades here. Watched Shutter Island last night, bored me to death. Departed is a solid movie.

Hurt Locker is excellent, extremely tense and edgy movie.

Well, different people, different taste, i suppose. I simply can't imagine Di Caprio as that tough guy detective and all those scenes of dead children and his dead wife went on my * nerves.

    Saw Kick *

A cross between Superbad and The Dark Knight, one of the best movies of the year (yes, I know its only May) and it was an independently made film which gives it extra brownie points from me.

    A solid 8/10

Watched "Paranormal Activity" a few nights ago. Good film for being low budget.

    Quite freaky too.

I wasn't impressed with 'Paranormal Activity' myself, I think it was because I was expecting too much. I had heard some great reviews before I saw it, but didn't really live up to them.

I would have preferred to have seen the alternative ending, where at the end of the film, instead of the police finding the bodies (did they both die? I've forgot), it ends with the woman looking into the camera and slitting her throat.

'How to train your Dragon' - if you've got kids younger than 10 it's great. Good fun.

Dead man running, was actually quite entertaining. Includes a die-hard Celtic fan, and commentary from an old firm game so for that, 10/10.
