The Avengers. What a lot of *. Turned it off half way through. 2/10. Only redeeming features are Scarlett Johansson and Cobie Smulders.

Is that the one with Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña? Really good film.

It's utterly woeful. I'm not a fan of superhero movies at the best of times but that was unwatchable.

Fair enough, each to their own.

Personally I love superhero movies but I can see why people don't.

I loved The Dark Knight, it had a semblance of realism. I can't say I'm too fond of any of the others though, especially when you can't work out what their ability's supposed to be e.g. Captain America. He's alright at boxing and he has a wee metal disc? :smiley-laughing002:

Robert Downie Jr.'s a great actor. The Iron Man films kind of went downhill though.

Yep, usually can't stand films shot from the view of characters but they done it brilliantly, made things 10x more tense.

    love the soundtrack too

The Dark Knight trilogy was excellent. X-Men films are probably my favourite superhero films, not exactly grounded in reality but they explore real world themes. Captain America pretty much has superhuman everything i.e. strength, speed, reflexes etc. :smiley-laughing002:

Agreed there. The first one was excellent but the other two weren't as good.

Under The Skin. 9/10 for Scarlett Johansson's boobies and Celtic.

Loved it, have liked every Tarantino film I've seen so far, history would have been a lot better if Tarantino wrote it :smiley-laughing002:

    The Grey 8/10

If you can look past the deficient plot (and some dodgy CGI) there's a lot to like.

Neeson is as powerful as ever, the set is stunning and the last half hour's script and screenplay is phenomenal.

Was glued to the screen, give it a watch.
