It's in the * West End of Glasgow, and it's only pretentious * from areas like Byres Road that pretends it isn't.

The first place I think of when I think of the West End is Partick.

Then it is in the West End then, as geographical location is the only qualifier to being in that area of Glasgow.

 

I drink in Partick and now and again you get guys like this doing a sub crawl and inevitably they get the pished ripped out them by the regulars. The guy probably had a reasonably normal accent until he moved to West End and got that weird East Coast poshness to his voice.
