Anyone used cavani? And if so would you recommend him?

 

I didn't like using him but I prefer more agile players

I use him I like him but I play a front 3 of Depay Cavani Di Maria thinking about changing to 2 up top

 

Aye I've got him in a 2 with mbappe, fekir behind.

Only played 5 games with him but quite like him so far. Not the quickest, but strong, with decent shooting and good in the air.

Squad battles are more for people who don't play online i think

 

Just completed the hydrid leagues and got the mega rare packs.

Only notable ones were Dani Alves and a French defender.

A fair amount of time and coins wasted doing those challenges only to unpack a player that can be bought for 6k on the market.

 

Game is so broke, even the top streamers and youtubers are complaining

 

That's * mate, they either turned down the luck on them or you're just very unlucky. I got Messi and Chiellini from them ones.

 

Aye they're pish now. Think you need to do them in the first week or two as they give away all the good players then to increase the hype.

Got a few packs yesterday from sbcs/squad battles and the best I got was Claudio Bravo.

It's annoying because there's no way to make a decent amount of coins from just playing matches. Eventually you end up making 400-500 coins a game and having to dish out the same amount in contracts just to keep the team going.

 

I initially thought the patch had fixed things but after more games this game is still broken to * I tried to convince myself otherwise.

Far too much emphasis is on attacking - one simple through-ball and you're in, defenders are always a few seconds slower than the attackers. Any clown can play class football, passes are too accurate and the strikers make perfect runs into space without any skill whatsoever. Shooting still doesn't feel right, goals don't feel anywhere near as rewarding as 17. I've played near 100 games and must've hit the woodwork in 70 of them, takes the absolute *. The game is a mess, hope to * they're releasing another patch to fix this nonsense. The only thing I prefer this year is the close-control, they've * up everything else. It's so arcadey it's untrue, this isn't a football simulation, it's something I'd expect to enter 50p into if I wanted to play more.

All these high-scoring games, just why?! Last 3 games on Ultimate Team - 4-4, 7-3, 6-2. It's laughable, 17 at least had realistic scorelines. Keepers are so erratic, either Peter Schmeichel or Massimo Taibi. Not sure how much longer I can play this. I've owned every FIFA since the first in 94 and this is the most broken it's been since the PS2 days. Gutted, hope there's a World Cup game so I can at least have something to look forward to in April.

 

Simple one two's destroy every defence. It's like defenders don't know how to track runs, full backs will just randomly leave wingers unmarked for no reason.

Also noticed with shooting half the time the power doesn't matter, at times I think I've hit it too weak for it to go flying over the bar or think I've held it too long then it goes top corner, just feels random.
They said they fixed the keepers as well, even on legendary keepers are palming it into their own net and *.

 

Spot-on mate. I really don't have a clue what EA have done with the defender's intelligence, it's beyond dreadful. Defending was near-perfect in 17, they didn't have to change anything! Every single year EA have bettered their last installment, which I always commended them for, but they've actually ruined the game beyond belief. It's like they've went 5 years backwards. I'm staggered how they could destroy a top game so much. Amount of free-space given to top-players is untrue, and the finishing is too easy which makes it even worse! It's a disaster truth be told, it's not football. You don't have to work hard for goals, any noob can score a barrel-load against you with a decent striker with little effort.

What's with the ball hitting the woodwork every * game?! Is it scripting or are the shooting mechanics just broken? I really don't know what they've done this year, but I can't play it for much longer. It is utter dross. I can't even go back to 17 as I can't play with outdated stats. Since FIFA is the only game I play these-days I'm pretty scunnered TBH, a complete abomination of a game.

 

I gave 17 a proper chance and hated it, don't think I have the heart to try and get into this game because the early signs aren't good. Regret paying €70 for it tbh.

 

I did. Total waste of time! Sat for 2 hours like a spare * while they organised every game

 

I bought this again this year , hadn't bothered to play it much till over the weekend there, I've always enjoyed playing it online the most , but I get where your coming from , defenders lay right off , spring a few side passes together and your right in , makes life far too easy imo, wouldn't even say this ease to get in score a goal is a new thing, just predictable . Regrettable purchase already ,price is going north on the title , what is ea doing to this series ?

 

I missed last years version so I was looking forward to the Journey story mode, but no matter what I do for some reason it forces me to move to the MLS and play for LA, is there a way to avoid this or is EA just sucking MLS's * like they do the EPL
