Never played any of these games in my puff, think I'll give it a go. Any recommendations which one to start with? Canny be arsed with old looking dated * games, but doesn't need to be pure 4k 3d madness either.

Start with 16 and if you enjoy it then try 7 remake. 7 rebirth is out next year if you like it, the second part of the trilogy.

10 and 12, both have HD remasters for ps4 that can be played on ps5, they're worth your time.

13 can only be played on ps3 and unless you have one already it's not worth the effort of getting.
15 is a convoluted mess who's story is chopped up into the game, dlc, an anime and movie and its still not completed cause the second set of dlc content was never finished.

anything before 10 is probably too dated for you, but they are all far from * games.

Can’t say in a fan of the combat system so far. FFVII remake nailed it for me, with the combination of real time and turn based. Maybe it will improve as I play more.

Yeah it gets better the more abilities you unlock .

Just finished the 'Fire in the sky' mission, mind-blowing stuff thought my ps5 was going to keel over.

Aye my ps5 has been blowing hot during some
Battles. So much going on it’s hard to take in the complexity of the battle system

Seems the latest patch update has sorted the overheating issues. Enjoying the Hunts and getting crafting materials. Way more difficult than the main storyline

Finished the main story, all side quests and hunts.
Honestly loved the game from start to finish, definitely my favourite game that I've played so far this year.
Story and voice acting especially strong, probably best since RDR2 in those aspects.
Combat was great, very satisfying and easy to pull of combos and mix and match different abilities. The boss fights were insane and the music was very good also.

Only cons I've got is alot of the side quests just seem like filler, not all of them cause they do get alot better narratively as they go on but some seemed like a waste of time to me and the other gripe I had was that the game was just far too easy, only died a handful of times throughout the game including when doing the hunts.

There's talk of them doing DLC now and I really hope they do, great game.

I’ve just beaten Titan. Wow what a fight. Must have lasted at least half an hr. Epic. Felt physically drained after it lol

I’ve not bothered with many of the side quests, if I stumble across a way to progress them along the way I will but not fussed. The hunts are cool though

I would do the side quests that have plus+ signs on them cause you get better gear and rarer crafting materials from doing them.
Also alot of the main characters will give you side quests before the last mission and i would recommend doing them aswell.

Whatever side quest gives you the berserker ring you should definitely do and equip it.

Make sure to at least do the blacksmith blues side quests or you can't get the strongest sword in the game, although you will need to do a few other side quests to get the items for it, I think it's the ones with local leaders of the area like martha.
There's also a guy in mids workshop who will upgrade the number of your items you can carry too if you do his side quests.

Never played any of these before. Downloaded VI last night and been enjoying it so far. It’s a pixel game like the old Pokémon games on Gameboy. Once I finish this, if I’m into it I think I’ll try one of the newer 3D ones on PC. I just play on the laptop with no mouse or controller, any recommendations on which one would suit that best? Any of you played FFVI ?
