I would have loved us to have had everyone available for this and having signed a LB and attacking MF however, it is what it is. I am as confident about this game as I was about going to ipox a couple of weeks ago and we all know what happened then.

As I said in an earlier post I hope the second half on Saturday is the start of us turning a corner and we start to look stronger. We are still trying to figure out our best team, have some who have shown promise but no one who has really came in and made themselves a regular.

I envy Feyenoord’s transfer business as they basically did what we should have lost a top player for a big fee and another player for decent money but then brought in four first team quality players with that money. We sold one for a big fee another for good money and brought in 7 permanents and 2 loans of which it is hard to tell who is ready to play for us certainly in Europe.

I wasn’t hopeful against them either going to Ibrox but where we played better than expected at least first half anyway they were even worse than I thought. Feyenoord are a relatively settled and decent side issues in goal and at centre forward for the tie tomorrow night right enough but most of the team they have are their title winning team last season supplemented by a cracking winger in Ivanusec.

It’s always difficult away in the CL, but I think were giving Feyenoord way too much credit.

Neither team are particularly great, I have a weird confidence we can get a result.

Unfortunately our board's first priority will always be the bank balance that, and their failure to speculate to accumulate, means we will always struggle in Europe when we really shouldn't. As you said, the money we got for Jota should have been used to buy a couple of established players instead of signing unknowns and/or projects which, as we have seen, may or may not work

Let's start the campaign strong. If we want to qualify we need points away from home somewhere and although they're pot1 team I don't feel they're a true representation of a pot 1 team.
I'd bite the hand off you for a draw just now but aim high and go 4 the win

I would imagine they are pot 1 because of both the Dutch coefficient and them being previous winners of the competition. With a fully fit squad who are settled into a new system, I'd expect us to be competitive. They're no world-beaters after all. But in the circumstances, it will be very tough for us.

Do wonder if he'll start Yang given he started on Saturday.

Going to be a difficult game but a draw or single goal win both feel possible. If Kyogo and Hatate are on form I reckon one of them is good for a goal at least.

It's certainly possible. At this stage in their Celtic careers, I'm not fussed over which one he starts - both will feature anyway, I'm sure.

I think Yang started because Palma only got back into the country late on Thursday/early Friday. I wouldn't be surprised if Palma starts.

    Listened to a scout report.

Saying they want teams to press them and exploit space left behind so being pragmatic and hold onto the ball much as possible the way to go.

2 over the top balls lead to goals on Saturday, though one was offside, might see alot of that too tomorrow.

Based on the highlights of them that seems pretty accurate their front 3 looked good at linking up with quick passing to create space and they had runners from centre midfield.

The big boy Mats Wieffer is one to look out for, the type of centre midfielder a lot of us were crying out for 6 ft plus, good energy and pace and has a goal in him.

The only thing that gives me any real confidence is how easily Heerenveen seemed to get through them at the weekend, they only scored once but had a good few chances and their back line particular their right sided centre back didn’t look too clever dealing with balls in behind him and the full back on that side. If Heerenveen hadn’t been so wasteful they could have scored a few.

However Feyenoord looked impressive going forward, a lot of energy movement and good football.

I guess we will see soon enough.

Worried the step up will be far too great for us. We haven’t improved on last season team so I’m worried. A good performance is critical to the remainder of the CL campaign, because if we get a hiding it could be very detrimental.
