Astonishing to think of how much optimism we all had at the end of our last European campaign, now less than a year on, poor managerial appointment, poor player recruitment, no clear direction for the club and embarrassed in Europe once again.

 

Thing is we've played fine until the first red card. Not brilliant, but fine. First goal was soft as * but we were well im the game.

The ref has completely and utterly * us, make no mistake.

 

It's recruitment. They post these big profits, well means * all when we don't spent it on improving our team

 

Did anyone really expect anything different, team has holes in it and the board did * all but sign more projects and even then * about for weeks while the window cruised on by.

 

Wasn't expecting to get anything tbh, and the first 25 minutes or so I thought we weren't totally useless, but overall it's obviously not a great watch.

Hatate is miles off it. If he continues like that and anyone wants him in Jan they're welcome to him for a half decent fee. He was a liability aside from offering * all tonight. Taylor has been very poor as well.

Credit to Scales, and Aj and Maeda have been better than the rest. Said before the CL started that I'll be happy if we can win a game this campaign, but can't really see that happening.

 

Out of the things that we where lacking in the game i would of killed for a Dembele or Edouard upfront

 

We're a dog * CL team.. probably contender for the worst side in the competition.

 

We should just forget about the champions league, the club has absolutely no ambition. Going into it this season with a weaker squad than last year

 

Should have matched Podence wages. Should have got a new left back.

 

Man, they're so sneaky when we try run past them, putting out their arms or moving into our way to block us.

Their captain is the worst for it.

 

Seriously starting to hate us in the CL

 

* was rolling about, then straight up laughing as soon as he gave it. That reaction alone should have influenced VAR.

And even then the best he could do was get us pumped out of the champions league and then pumped out altogether immediately after a Europa League group stage.

And spend £15m and loan signing no doubt

 

We always seem to do the hard work to put ourselves in a position to level up then * it. This Summer wasnt the time for project signings.

 

You can’t legislate for the defensive injuries but scales has impressed me again tonight. Looked solid actually and defo not been the weakest link.

Yet again though the lack of ambition from the board is disgraceful.

The ref is also a *.

I’m confident we can beat them at CP. don’t think they’re anything special.
