Tommy Burns's rail at Fergus McCann - Times Online

No wonder the bunnet wont come back when he reads this kind of *^^^^ only from last year

the press hated him. Always try to divide the fans into two sides, the Tommy Burns and the bunnet side. disgusting.

Yes, he is the complete opposite of the usual north american football investors.

The come over with all this * about how much they love the club and they're going to make them a world force - then they screw over the club's finances and leave them in the *.

There was no flannel with Fergus - said he was coming over to sort things out and make himself some money. Which he did - and also saved the club from disaster, and put us on a firm financial footing.

Did exactly what he said he'd do, from start to finish. :50:

    I'd say both.

He was a hero for what he did at the time, but he was truthful from the start and said he'd make a hefty profit so fair play to him on that.

He never bullshitted the fans into thinking it was all for the love of the club.

He should forever have a place at Celtic Park and be remembered fondly in our history.

The man wi the bunnet dunnit :50:

Both but he never hid anything from us, as the Ronseal ad says " did what it said on the tin" the guy was 100% genuine . He saved us , he gave us a new stadium and before he came we were regularly playing in front of 20,000 fans and now we moan that we can only get 50,000 to most home games. I was like most fans at the time in that I felt he could have ploughed some money back into the club before he left or maybe fund the academy but hey it was his money , who are we to tell him what to do with his own cash. History will be kind to Fergus and rightly so. Pity there are nt more like him and if there was we would nt be seeing the obscene salarys and transfer fees and clubs up to thier neck in debt

There were a lot of other much more safer investments he could have made.

He took the helm of this club out of love and nothing else.

    Hero.
