I think wanyama should be played just infront of the back 4

Spoke to Kayal and Hooper today, they said it depends on how they trained today and tomorrow whether they play on Thursday or not.

I guess Thursday´s lineup will pretty much depend on whether Hoopy and Kayal are available or not.
    <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>
With both fit, I´d go for:<o:p></o:p>
Forster - Cha, M. Wilson, K. Wilson, Matthews - Brown, Kayal, Ki, Ledley - Stokes, Hooper<o:p></o:p>
è A flat 4-4-2, with players in midfield that are both strong enough in defending and capable of playing a decent pass towards our strikers. Commons, Forrest and Paddy on the bench to bring them on in case we´d have to score later on…<o:p></o:p>

    With Hooper out:<o:p></o:p>
    Forster - Matthews, M. Wilson, K. Wilson, Ledley - Brown, Kayal, Ki, Maloney – Commons - Samaras<o:p></o:p>
è 4-4-1-1 with Commons in a free role to support Sammy. A tough one between Sam and Stokes, but although I don´t really like Samaras, I think he´s a wee bit more effective as a lonely striker compared to Stokes. Ledley on LB as I wouldn´t leave him out, and he´s left-footed so he can go for the overlap…<o:p></o:p>

With both Hooper and Kayal out:<o:p></o:p>
Forster; Cha, M. Wilson, K. Wilson, Matthews – Forrest, Brown, Ki, Ledley, Maloney - Samaras<o:p></o:p>
è 4-5-1 with 2 wingers as we need to strenghthen our central midfield when Kayal´s out and thereby can´t afford an offensive central midfielder to support Samaras (therefore 2 wingers to at least give us some bit of offensive power). This might end up in some kind of „kick & rush football“ with high balls towards Sammy most of the time, but I don´t think there really is another option although I don´t like this one… (this shows that we do need some more cover in our squad)<o:p></o:p>

There´s no scenario whatsoever to see Big Dan in the lineup, after last Sunday. Even if Kelv´s out, I´d always prefer Wanyama, (half-) fit-again Rogne or anybody´s watching dog in the heart of our defence!!<o:p></o:p>

The game will be live on Premier Sports & Setanta Ireland. If anyone bothers, SF Zwei (Swiss TV) will have a live broadcast of the 2nd half, IF there´s no extra time (+ pens?) in the Berne v Braga match. No news from Channel67 so far (it says „audio only“): does anybody know if they have the game on?<o:p></o:p>
Anyway, there should be some streams around the web…<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>

So far for my 1st post in this forum. Keep The Faith!!<o:p></o:p>
    Hail! Hail!<o:p></o:p>

I'd rather have Wanyama alongside Kelvin than Mark. The boy's built like a beast and Lenny has already said he see's him more as a centre half than a midfielder. As dependable as Wilson is at fullback, he lacks the strength to play in the middle of the defense.

    *EDIT*

I signed up in 2005? Blimey, thinks i need to increase my post count :O

Why are we even playing this game I still don't understand? They fielded inelligible players in the first game, we shouldn't even be going over there. We should be through if they broke the rules as far as I'm concerned.
And if it does go ahead I'm quite scared about it tbh. Whoever scores first will go through imo. I can't see us getting one if we go behind the way we usually crumble away from home.

    Trio Return for Sion game

    http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sco...37/No-Swiss-miss-for-Celts-trio-of-stars.html

CELTIC are set to welcome back three crocked stars to face Sion.

SunSport understands Gary Hooper, Beram Kayal and Kelvin Wilson came through light training yesterday morning and will be on the plane to Switzerland today.
And barring last minute setbacks boss Neil Lennon is certain to pitch the key trio back into the side for tomorrow night's crunch Europa League play-off second leg at the Stade Tourbillon.

This is making me more confident of at least scoring a goal, with Hooper up top and Kayal cleaning up the midfield, big Kelvin adding a bit of composure to the back, i am more optimistic of a win

Hope so and i hope they are fit and not just being rushed back could be a massive mistake if it went wrong.
