Brown off for Biton. I hope Rodgers absolutely hammers McGregor and Armstrong at half-time, because the fact is both are more than good enough for a game like this, but are showing themselves up. Their job is to do the running either side of the sitting mid, but they're barely imposing themselves at all.

We need to play with authority. Even if we're pish and we know we are, we should be getting stuck in here like we believe we'll beat them.

To be fair, Brendan wanted to bring in quality and he has with Toure. Bringing quality takes time. We are just screwed by how early in the season these vital matches come

 

I'm expecting a big response in the second half, first half has come and gone no point dwelling over it.

 

Hopefully with a half-time bollocking, we can come out, stand up and play. Not that we should need to but we seem to be intimidated. Need to give as good as we get.

the introduction of BR doesn't count unless wholesale change is made. so far 2 players bought. struggling through qualifiers even against part time mobs.

reality.. we are a long long way away from where we want to be. cant see champions league this season unfortunately.

to me nothings changed. just got a big manager in that's it.

 

Watching us away from home in Europe just makes me sad. It's the same movie time after time. Weak at the back, can't keep possession of the ball and not enough quality up front. We'll look better in the second leg but I hope the manager won't be fooled by that, this team needs some balls injected into it.

 

Or we have 3 defenders out and the one midfielder who can play in defence out as well.
